I have always felt that the North-East is always on the periphary of this country. When things are going well we are always the last to benefit but when things go bad we are always the first to feel the effects. As a populace we are very cautious because due to history we know what is always around the corner for us. Our only source of comfort were our sporting teams. that seems to be longer the case. Recent history seems to indicate that people/firms only come here to exploit the fear of job uncertainty. "they are just happy to have a job!", so we treat them any way they want and they will still turn up for work/support, no matter what!! Well things are changing, fans and working people are finding their voice. Free country, my arse, when people start to protest, legally, they try to find a way to supress our voices. This applies to the whole north-east, not just newcastle. They don not like it!!!, and they are starting to get worried. Keep the protests going, the more we do it, the weaker they become!! I dont care if we go down or stay up, our clubs will always be there no matter what. We however, will always be there. We support the club, not the regime...
