A good young prospect, hopefully:-

"Portsmouth are leading the chase for Dulwich Hamlet starlet Omarr Lawson, skysports.com understands.

18-year-old Lawson has come through the youth ranks of the South London non-league club, where the likes of Marlon King, Leon Cort and George Elokobi began their careers.

He was one of the stars of Dulwich's youth side which reached the third round of the FA Youth Cup last season, and now he is attracting interest from a number of league sides.

Lawson, a striker who can also play on the left wing, is now set to link up with Portsmouth next week and will train with the Championship side.

Crystal Palace and Charlton also have an interest in Lawson, but Pompey will get the first look at him."

Think we should play Williams and Futacs plus other youth players before we bring in any more- particuarly as the current one's aren't playing in the first team

Looks like a good player for the future though !! <ok>

I see what you are saying P_F_L, but if he is that good a prospect, and can score goals, then we should sign him - Dave Kitson is hardly scoring for fun is he ?!

.........and another one comes along !..................

Pompey are running the rule over young non-league striker Dan Thompson.

The 17-year-old Hampton & Richmond striker is training with Andy Awford’s Academy squad this week with a view to a possible deal to join the youth ranks.

Reports have linked Thompson with a host of Premier League clubs but he has been invited in for a short spell at Pompey’s Eastleigh training base after being tracked by the Blues in recent weeks.

He became the Blue Square Bet South outfit’s youngest-ever goalscorer after netting against Woking in February this year and has caught the eye with some of his displays.

Pompey have already recruited one talented non-league youngster earlier this season after securing Jed Wallace from Lewes.

But the strong and pacy striker will also now get the opportunity to join Pompey’s Academy ranks if he impresses and is expected to feature in a forthcoming behind-closed-doors game.
