Bounced. Just watched it going through Winchester virtually past my parents house. Brought a lump to my throat. Massive crowds. Nearly 9 million people have seen it already with still 2 weeks to go. If you can get do get along and see it as it passes through Hants and Dorset over the next couple of days. The atmosphere is just unbelievable!

Have to be honest , I was distinctly underwhelmed by the Olympics and all the build up / hype . The Torch goes right past our offices in bournemouth on Friday afternoon , roads around us are shut from 4PM - 7:30 pm and people are moaning about getting home , I can't wait & have even bought a shirt !!!!!

It passed through St Albans and Hatfield a few days ago, but people were distracted by the tennis. Judging from pictures I've seen, it wasn't that much of a spectacle.

Always have liked the Olympics and I want this one to be the best ever. Working so can't see torch going through Newport on way to SMS on Saturday. Feel I'm missing out on an historic event. There will be people alive who have seen Olympics twice in GB, having seen the austerity games after the war, but will be a very long time before it comes back here again.

You would think that Joe but something about it is bringing people out in their thousands. I was sceptical bout the crowd numnbers at first but it's averaging over 1/4 million a day!

The olympics is costing a fortune and it doesn't last too long, so enjoy it while it's there. Along with the Jubilee, it's an excuse for a good knees up.

I had a chance to see the Torch in 1948 but as I was coming up to my 1st Birthday I don't remember it, once in a lifetime opportunity, make the most of it. It may be costing a lot but it is also bringing in a lot of money too.

Could BBC South cream themselves anymore than they have been doing this week? I thought Tony Husband was tossing himself off, such was the pitch of his voice this evening. Unless in normal day to day life he gets off seeing middle aged women holding naked flames.

I had to travel through Dorchester today just after lunch, and the town seemed packed, despite the torrential rain. I waved to the assembled masses, and I got a resounding cheer back - I think they mistook me for Prince William!

When he used to do Solent match commentaries, he'd get more excited when any opposition team was beating Saints. Therefore, he'd often be excited. Thank goodness for Adam Blackmore and Kris Temple and the era change.
