England doing a great job of fooking up the cycling. Colombian and Kazakstan have broken away. England Left it too late to sprint. Edit: GB not England.
Bit silly sitting sixty seconds behind for most of the race, not that I know anything about the tactics of cycling. Just seems like an odd thing to do, don't really get why working in teams help either, when you can just follow anyone whose pace suits you? think I'll stick to the women's volleyball. please log in to view this image
Yeah, I'm not gonna pretend to be an expert. I just know it's disappointing because Cav is one of the best in the world and we have just done well in the TDF.
Not that I've been watching cycling for long but people never want to help someone like Cavendish, because they know once they near the end he'd beat them in a sprint. So that was the problem with GB, no one really from the other countries wanted to help close the gap as they knew Cavendish would beat them in a sprint. Cycling is an odd sport though, you have to rely on other teams and riders helping you in certain positions. What other sport do you need rivals to help you to win?
Yea, that's what they just said on the BBC, that no other countries wanted to be anywhere near Cav on the finish, hence the reason the worked so hard to open the gap. Think it was to much effort to close down those sixty seconds, without the help of any one else, as you say, they all just sat behind. Shame really.
What events everyone looking forward to then? Personally I'm looking forward to the 400m to see Dai Greene, as he is Welsh and has a great chance of winning gold. And the track cycling to see the GB team hopefully dominate.
it was a shame cos it seems for cav it was all about the olyimpics this year and his team let him down. let the front runners get too far infront and couldn't drag them back...

Good win for Alexandre, really. You can see how he did it in his new film: 'Vinokourov: Cycling Learnings of London Olympics for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan' Yakshemash! Sorry all! Just bored waiting for our Tottenham game.
I feel sorry for small nations like Wales and Scotland, the events they are excellent at are not included. Like Caber tossing and rounding up the sheep, not sure what that is called, the thing they do on one man and the dog when the Welsh people whistle at the dog to make the sheep run into a cage.
