Yes you're right she has made them compromise,20/20 and Glory both said it would never happen, and yet again both were 100% wrong. At least they are consistent, wrong every time <laugh>

The EU said before they went into negotiations they wanted assurances on Northern Ireland border, the rights of EU nationals and agreement on the financial settlement before they would advance to trade talks.

David Davis said that he wouldn't agree to that timetable and wanted to negotiate both at the same time and it would be the row of the summer. On the first day he agreed to that timetable.

Now which of those assurances that the EU set out they wanted to achieve before moving to trade talks have the EU failed to gain?

I agree she’s done well. It’s why I wanted her not one of the nutters as PM

BUT it is very much ‘well in the circumstances’

We’ve given away 50bn of NHS money (and it’s been constructed so we won’t know for decades the true figure, so that guarantees the reality is it will be more)

We have ECJ meddling (that famous red line) and have left ourselves a hostage to fortune on Ireland

Now we can drop our trousers lower as we wait for instructions on what our trade terms are going to be

But I agree, with a nest of vipers in cabinet she has done as well as she could

Play fair dbc you can't quote someone to back your side of things after calling him "Flappy **** chops will have to accept whatever's given as his only real job is to play Lord Haw Haw on Fox news" a few days earlier :D

No I’m enjoying seeing it unravel

I’ve managed to convince myself I’m a bystander at a car crash, not a passenger in the vehicle heading for the cliff edge

And if you read my post again you will see that I said concession that she can sell - it wasn't a compromise on their part they said they wanted 'sufficient progress' on the issues and they've gained them.

We've agreed nothing but see the 2nd section that gives Ireland (and the DUP) the guarantees they wanted so if there is no agreement there can be no regulatory borders between NI and Ireland and between NI and Great Britain.

If the EU have rolled over at any point during this negotiation is was only so that they could make sure they farted in our direction under the duvet. But yes they did want a deal and they were happy to give Theresa May the concession and talk up her tough negotiation power because they don't want her government to collapse, leading to more elections and more delay. Believe it or not the EU actually want this done and dusted so they can get on with more important things, (which is why I said we had some power when we hadn't triggered Article 50)

Well while your there get yourself a cloth and some soap and give the cars a quick clean as there's going to be a shortage of car cleaners soon.

Haha to be fair I definitely wasn't claiming him on my side just pointing out that not everyone's happy with the news today. I actually agree it's good news today.

We’ll be cleaning our own cars again

And given we won’t be able to afford the petrol, to go anywhere, we’ll have plenty of time to do it
