we are still governed by the European working directive, for passenger vehicles with over 9 passenger different laws come into play, but im creasing myself that a person caught out by clickbait still hasn't been able to find the correct answer himself beside all the clues and different people telling him
Because you ALWAYS demand proof and links Roger, immediately. My first statement yesterday came from a link where a train driver said he works up to 10 hours shift. You said that's illegal but can't come up with anything to back it up. And your response now is "If you can't find it I'm not going to tell you !". Pathetic as ever Roger, you're so full of ****. By the way, who are all these people telling me ? If you're referring to Elland, who's got a mate, who's also got a mate, that works on the railways and said his particular shifts go up to 9 hours 45 minutes, that won't wash. Where's the link Roger ?
He's on your post before that Roger, see ; Either one of the mods is having a laugh or you're suggesting that me and you are related ?
So let's summarise and end the debate. Train drivers earn 2-3 times the average. Rail employees earn 25% more than average. Train drivers work 35 hours excluding overtime, shift patterns vary and are flexible. There are limits to how long can be spent actually driving. Train drivers still enjoy 1/60th final salary pensions. So all in all not bad. The RMT is engaged in a political war with the Tory Government. (As declared by Lynch) Regarding the meme, it is a caricature of the perception that the majority of people have of train drivers, and it also had a sense of black humour, emphasising the "I'm all right Jack bugger the rest" mentality. As for being called a liar, In my many years I have been called far worse, by far better. I will now go and spend my £325 per year State Pension Increase.
Thanks Oldie. The debate I'm having however, is whether Roger can go ahead and repeatedly call me a liar without being able to back up anything he's said to me since yesterday.
i said it was clickbait and a load of cock you belived it ive already told you which just goes to show you cant read or digest what you read You do not need to follow any drivers’ hours rules if you drive a police, fire service or armed forces vehicle. i did so i knew the rules If you drive for a different public authority or for a business, and your vehicle is a non-PSV with: up to 8 passenger seats - you do not need to follow any drivers’ hours rules 9 or more passenger seats - you must follow the EU rules (unless your vehicle is exempt from EU law) then you must obey European law on passenger paying vehicles over 17 which a train has it doesnt matter if its a specific type it covers all passenger vehicles I've shown you already, i know but you profess to be intelligent yet can't find the link by yourself even after i posted it for you, but your in that much of a blind rage your just skipping through and not reading. please log in to view this image
If you think Dominic the train drivers story is click bait (*Dirty switches to Roger mode) - PROVE IT YOU LIAR !!!!!!!! By the way, you haven't provided a link to anything yet (do you know what a link is ?). You quoted something yesterday which turned out to be the 6 hour rule for HGV drivers. I'm sure we were talking about train drivers (specifically, Dominic) working shifts up to 10 hours, no ?
Another great comeback Roger. It's almost as if you've got nothing to back up any argument you've made.
Definitely the end. https://www.traindriveracademy.com/traindriver Working Hours and Shifts With regular scheduled train services meaning a planned timetable, passenger Train Drivers work reasonably predictable shift patterns. On average, most operators work to a 35 hour week. Although some work more. A 35 hour week which is generally averaged out over the whole year, shift cycle or similar. For example week 1 = 32 hours, week 2 = 39 hours and week 3 = 34 hours creating a 35 hour average. Shifts or "turns" generally range from around 6 hours to around 11 hours and vary from company to company. Some companies operate their turns over a 4 day working week. Days where you are not required for duty are called rest days (RD). Some operators have a fixed pattern of rest days and some do not. Working includes weekend and bank holidays and may/may not include Sunday as a normal working day. Shift patterns include very early starts and very late finishes - generally a week of early turns followed by a week of late turns. Some turns are flexible and can be moved earlier or later depending on requirements - for example you may be allocated a "spare" turn of 0600 (6am) but due to another driver booking sick their service now needs to be covered. Your turn may be moved a number of hours earlier or later to accommodate. Most operators have a number of these spare turns per in their shift pattern. Some have whole weeks where drivers are considered spare. The amount of hours you can work in any shift is 12 although the average is around 10. A driving turn of around 10 hours, may only include as few as 5 hours actual driving. This is to ensure break times, train schedules and staffing requirements are maintained. Everything is carefully planned to the minute. You can work 72 hours in any one week period. You are also able to work 13 consecutive days in any 14 day period. There must also be 12 hours between the end of your turn and the start of your next. Working on your rest days is often paid at considerable overtime rate. Overtime working is often allowed under agreements with recognised Trade Unions. Freight drivers will generally work many more hours. There is also a greater frequency of night work. Those freight depots which carry out engineering work for Network Rail also have a high amount of weekend working, a lot of which is at night. Some InterCity and most freight operators require some overnight lodging. You may have to stay in a hotel away from home between shifts. This is generally kept to a minimum because of cost implications.
I apologize lads for the thread going off course, but lefty ****ers fail to believe the truth and keep coming back for more, if i had a frisby i would throw it for him , and thats my last word on this subject but like and old fishwife it won't be his last word HOPE HE LETS IT DROP
