Does anyone know exactly what Olofinjanaâs injury is and when he was supposed to have suffered it? Heâs been out all this season, so thatâs about 17 weeks and If he got the injury while playing for Cardiff last season itâs been a hell of a lot longer. I didnât get the impression it was a major injury and in the latest HDM article it says âSeyi Olofinjana harbouring hopes of returning within the month.â which they seem to have been saying for ages. Does anyone else get the impression the club are bull5hitting us on this and either they donât want to play him for contractual reasons or that he doesnât want to play for us?
He gets paid a shedload more if he plays for us again. Notice his name isnt on the back of the programme? That tells you a lot.
this question was asked to NP at the start of the season. NP said that when Oli gets fit to play again he will be given a squad number. Now that NB is in charge i expect Oli to be given a chance. City have alot of games coming up and all the fit bodies will be needed incl. Oli.
I ruptured my achilles tendon a few years ago which would be a major injury for a footballer, but I was only in plaster for 12 weeks so what did he do, break his neck or something?
I have thought something like this for a bit, and it's troubled why they are so hush hush about it. Hope we get him in a reservew game soon, if they can risk him!
Would make alot of sense however the offence would have to have been committed in the off season in order for it not to be made public knowledge, so if he plays in the next 4 months I'd imagine that stories bollocks. (is it minimum 9 month bam for drugs?)
I think if he got an official drugs ban it would've been announced to be fairly honest so we can forget that reason. That is of course assuming that the club would report any drug use to the relevant governing body had they been aware of it.
If drugs bans are issued for offences committed during he off season, they are held secretly and not published, and I couldn't see what the club could get out of making it public knowledge at all. If the offence is committed during season time though there's no ifs or buts, the complete details are released on the fa's website full stop. It could easily be a drugs ban, Kolo Toure got banned for taking some kind of medicine ffs...
I wouldn't be surprised if Bum_Chinned_Crab is right and we can't play him because it would trigger something in his contract that we don't want to trigger. I bet he won't be fit to play until January and then coincidentally his first game will be for the club that signs him on loan or permanent.
Neither is Garcia. It's simply because they were both injured at the start of the season and don't have official squad numbers. But notice that numbers 29 and 30 have been left blank and Emerton is 31. Those two numbers will belong to Garcia and Oli and it definitely isn't worth looking into this any further. I know what CiN is getting at, it does seem like he's been a month away for about 6 months, but Waggy has also been one game away for about 6 matches now. It's nothing new, our players are always expected back earlier than they are.
Nope two players where announced to have being banned on that channel four programme and them bans never got published..... Gary O Connor and no idea on the second one.
I know they built it up like it was gonna be some superstar like Rooney by saying it was a multi million pound player, and it turned out to be bloody Gary o ****ing Connor, talk about being underwhelmed. Reminded me of when we were meant to get our socks blown off by kevin kilbane.
As far as I know, if it's a recreational drug it doesn't have to be announced. I also don't think it's really relevant here.
We might have difficulty giving Garcia a squad number since he's still a free agent having not signed his new contract before he got injured. Once he's fit again he'll be given a contract and then he can have a number.
Every drugs ban will be on WADAs website whether it's announced or not, if Olly was banned for drugs it would have been out by now. Also, with out wage bill as it is (only macca on Olly on Prem wages) why would we not have sacked him already? Another **** bullshite excuse!
