I suppose these figures would be a hell of a lot worse if any Premier league club had to visit a club that was policed by South Yorkshire Police. Having seen those cowboys in action, I say things are not right just yet, but in relative terms to numbers that attend games its not as bleak as would have us believe.:emoticon-0131-angel

It would be intereting to know how the figures are made up. Are they just based on arrests at the home ground and if so how many arrests were of away fans. I know that at SOL the rules are strict and several away suports have complained that they have been arrested for things which would not be noticed at their grounds.

Dont get me wtong I do think that thestabdards set by thr police in the SOL are right it is just that this might cloud the figures. Anybody from Newcastle able to say if the same is the case at Sorts Direct Stadium, after all it is the same police force.

It would also be interesting to see the figures excluding the derby match at each ground.

How many of those arrests were for violence though? christ you can get arrested for having a slash up a wall or calling someone these days.

The whole thing is very subjective really - do Manchester United fans have a terrible reputation for violence and trouble?
    No.

Do they by far have the biggest stadium?
    Yes.

The ratio of people vs arrests surely must be an issue, both home & away.

It has a lot to do with the police force involved as well - who would have guessed there would be more arrests at Man Utd than Chelsea?

The table itself is far too simplistic to be a fair reflection.
