Yes maybe at the moment but as technology moves at a rapid pace it's the first steps to a transhumanist society - though I respect and understand your arguments why - I would not trust the future and potential 'goodwill' motives from suppliers and manufacturer's of human microchips

I think it would only be a matter of time before people did start abusing it. My ex (one of them) was a copper who dealt with victims of abuse and domestic violence. It was several years ago and back then the programs that were available to the general public to track phones and locations were still fairly basic compared to now (I imagine) but it's amazing how often they were used in some of those cases by controlling husbands/boyfriends. If I knew it would only be used for national security and nobody would ever be tempted to use it to make a fast buck or as a means of controlling law abiding people then I'd be all for it. I just don't trust the ****ers who would run it not to use it as a way of grabbing more power. If it does come in I think it should be used only on those who are a definite threat or those who are convicted of dangerous offences. We sort of do that now with fingerprinting I think, so it could just be an extension of that - but decided by the courts where they thought it would help.

One of the strangest things I've seen is four muslim women together wearing the full shebang in Byker. Strange because it is so out of place with the surroundings.

Is it a bit like how Catholic & Protestant are both part of Christianity but different?
The couple that run my local shop are Sikh. She's only recently started covering her head & he's just started wearing his turban & grew a beard.
The only time you see them dressed in Indian clothes is if they are going to some religious do.

Thanks Blunham, I thought that sort of head gear all came under the word turban.

Equally the Sikh community and any moderate Muslim must be rightly, very upset when extremists or idiots point accusing fingers at them for what's going on, so I understand what you meant.

The frightening thing about Wahhabis extremist Islamic doctrine is that it is spreading so far and wide and it uses force on those who do not comply. So decent Muslims must live in fear of those extremists as well as in fear of reprisals.
It would seem ignorance rules and the devil laughs and reading this I think we are all ****ed

There's going to be scrutiny with anything like this, of course, plus on the most part, even at 10c per chip this project would be absolutely nonviable form a financial point of view, all costs considered.

There's obviously suggestions here, that the data could be abused, which would obviously be a concern for any of us. I think there's an element of naivety to think anybody could gain access to the data on the chips (how many on here can geo-locate somebody today by phone?), and going back to my original point, I'd sooner let somebody know where I am at all times than have my own, or my family's heads blown off by a roaming terrorist. If they can viably stop/slow the movement of terrorism by introducing this, then I'd be all for it.

A Sikh neighbour warned me of the Muslim problem more than decade and half ago. He said they will come and demand, demand some more and you won't have any peace. My family laughed it off. What stupid ****s we were.

Well give it 30 years and they'll have a full on community and seeing one walk past will only make you think "I wonder if she's got knickers on".

That's all I think if I see one, or I sometimes think 'I might watch Scream tonight' or 'Why are they allowed to drive like that, they have black cloth covering their peripheral vision?'.

I'd be more shocked now, to see a white girl in a short skirt (something probably available in abundance in Byker) in Longsight in Manchester.

Sounds a bit like Newcastle West End. More Pakistani's there than Islamabad.
Can't remember the last time I saw a white taxi driver in Newcastle.

I guess it is. And you have dozens of little off-shoots of each. All as barmy as the next!

So many are going back to their religion these days, not just muslims or born-again christians, lile you sikh neighbour.

I guess us atheists just can't relate to any of this at all.

Of course not. But it's not like they're bombing blind is it? They're targeting infrastructure. It will take a very long time to get them all but they'll be going for the best targets from the intel available.

Sounds like a few places in Brum. My dad often goes up there for certain spices and such. I wish he wouldn't. He doesn't give a **** but I tell him he isn't welcome in such places.

    Meanwhile in Bradford

This man decided to scavenge and rob charity a clothes bin in broad daylight. After the match I noticed it was left open with clothes all over the pavement. People walking past not batting an eyelid and me stood taking a photo in disbelief that somebody has stopped mid-rob to have little read while stealing from charity.
