Chelsea away. That is just annoying. Scum get Coventry and we get Chelsea.

Oh come now, with the money from the gate you might be able to keep up with the electricity bills, for a couple months anyway.

I was delighted when we got drawn against them- was hoping for a top team, i.e a Manchester club, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea. Ecstatic we got Chelsea- and I am extremely looking forward to the game. Might try and buy tickets when they are available .. !!

Gotta say though- United v City will be the highlight of the round <ok>

On a side note- let the Scum feel smug if they beat Coventry- let it tire their players !! :p

No smugness here. I'd rather play Chelsea for that very reason.

I've calmed down now and am starting to warm to the tie. Chelsea will put out a youth team and are anything but unbeatable this year. Even though I'll still be on crutches after my op on the 20th of Dec, I am thinking of going. I'll make sure I get tickets for the front row, so I can sit down if my leg tells me too.

lol....fear not 3rd eye.....you've got more chance of falling asleep at Stamford Bridge (aka the Library) than you have of getting any hassle.

Thanks XLP - I suppose I should take up the offer seeing as I made my friend sit with the Pompey fans for the 'friendly' in August. <laugh>

For once I agree with History (there's always a first time for everything !), the cash we earn from this cup tie at Stamford Bridge will be rather useful in our fight to remain in business.

Also, and I'll probably be shot down by my fellow PFC supporters for saying this, BUTdo we really want the possible distraction of the F A Cup affecting our fight to remain in the Championship ?

Whilst the thought of making yet another visit to our second home (Wembley !) is very appealing, do we need even more matches to play this season, with our still somewhat small playing staff ?

I understand that we will get 45% of the gate money for this game - is that about right? So at around £56 a ticket that'll be enough maybe to pay the staff in January and perhaps we can stay in business until February.

Perhaps Appy will play TBH and he can then make up for the own-goal he scored in August <laugh>

As it stands I don't think the FA Cup is going to be a distraction for us - based on previous experience, if Chan the man takes over again (to protect his "loan") we won't have any players anyway because he'll be busy selling them all in January.

I would you suggest you spend more time worrying what lies before after the Chelsea match, ie your very existence

Our existance is nothing to worry about at the moment, we are safe for now <ok> No problems until the end of February, and that's only if we don't have a new owner by then.

Anyway, as for the Chelsea game itself, we couldn't have asked for a better fixture!!!

1: As point out, money from ticket sales will help us out MASSIVELY at an important time.
2: If we lose (as expected), we can concentrate on the league, the most important thing to us this season is staying up.
3: If we get a (shock) win, we will play another game (more income) AND we can boast about knocking out Chelsea.

Basically, there is nothing bad about this fixture <ok>

    AGAIN!

No point in worrying saintsalive, it's pointless as there is very little each of us can do about it. And worrying is just a negative emotion that causes illness - both physical and mental - and at the very least results in a very bad mood.<steam>

You are of course correct 3rd eye.
Think I will lay down with a cold flannel on my head - especially after our performance at Doncaster!!!
