and sorry all, just found my champions 2010-11 scarf after misplacing it in may, and thought it would bring back the wins, seems like it only brought back the red cards
If our players can play on the edge of the offside then ref's decision would maybe go our way sometimes. But no, they have to be 2 meter in front of anyone. It was offside but it was tough decision for the ref, was a big crowd in front of our goal.

like i said, Arteta moved from goal line down to take the ball and score, thanks PNP for providing the proof
well, on that we can discuss, but should an offside goal decide 3 points? As far as i'm concerned, this is not a sport where performance points should decide the winner, it's up to the goals. And if the goals are scored unaccording to the rules, that should be a more serious problem than the better performing team getting the 3 points. If we go by who deserved the win, isn't the game then nullified and we're at some gymnastics/riding event every week?
I won't criticise Cesar since without him we would have lost by more but does he ever catch a ball when near the goal or is it always punch or push away? Even without the offside, that looked a preventable goal to me.
Easily offside, the ref told them Nelsen was off the pitch even though hes right in the centre of the 6 yard box. This is why technology should be used for all goals, penalties and red cards. It would have taken 10 seconds to see it wasnt a goal.
Even if Nelsen was off the pitch then he can't be keeping anyone onside. I'd like to see our disallowed goal again. Hoilett could not have been off by much if at all.
Not sure u would be complaining if it had been at the other end?!..Cameras for all goals??...wake up fella!
Perhaps if you were watching a stream. Not so much if you're behind the goal. If he was a meter offside then Hoilett should have slipped some change in.
If someone's off the pitch then they can't keep someone onside. In theory a player keeping someone onside can step off the pitch and become inactive, so to speak.
Its not true, he would be booked for leaving the pitch without permission if he does it deliberately. Players cant be offside if a defender overuns the pitch. It doesnt matter anyway, Nelsen is 2nd right in the shot so the ref is talking bollocks.
Yes it was stream, but it's so interesting how our players go offside a lot. It's not just quantity it's the quality of those offsides, meter or two behind the defenders, really impressive.
