It's funny how the establishment is all out to get Boris Johnson yet sat on their hands about the proven liar Blair.

Because the likes of Boris & (more so) Trump are deemed to be a threat/hindrance to their objectives.. Both vocal operators.

Boris is an habitual liar though. I get Blair embellished the report leading to the Iraq war, allegedly, but Boris lies every time he opens his mouth .

compare the history [ Boris so far ] what has driven the "witch hunt against Boris ... not from 2021 and PARTYGATE but from the general election and Brexit ... who are the most voiciferous? Well in one corner is the few sour grapes Remainers and the other is a gentleman, 2 in fact, that up to Covid, during covid and since covid and until Boris resigned had their face slapped every week on their repetition and hindsight in a political points gathering attempt at boosting their flagging popularity!
Back in the time with Bliar the then opposition just got on with the business in hand and there was no "slagging off of the person" to the degree it gotten away with in parliament now! Another person who got away with bare faced lies until after the event but never had £m's spent on an enquiry was a certain gentleman that brought the olympics to town!! ... wonder why? oh it made loads of money .... maybe!... rough with the smooth?

Your bitterness shows through, we get it ... a spoonful of honey helps the bitterness go down... :emoticon-0105-wink:

This Country has lost the plot though.. Blair leads in a illegal war causing 100s if not 1000’s of deaths.. yet he gets a knighthood..yet Boris is led to the lions for being at a gathering.. strange times!!

It’s not about being at a gathering, he’s already had a FPN for that, as did many ordinary people who broke lockdown rules, are you suggesting different rules for him ? . They are now deciding if he deliberately lied to parliament, if he didn’t then fine, if he did he should be punished. That’s fair surely?

Thanks for that well thought out response, it is allegedly because he was not found to have broken any rules

Blair wasn't found guilty because his Labour MPs voted AGAINST a parliamentary enquiry that he misled the house.

AH .. Bristol is a county it is the city and County of Bristol ..............................................<ok>
look carefully and you will see it in grey squashed between Gloucester and Somerset. WHEN Avon was abolished [ 1996 ] the only real link to it was via the emergency services Avon and Somerset police etc

Lying, misled, unaware, is not great I grant you.. but surely in all said and done he was only putting himself or those wanting to be there, at so say risk at the gathering . He didn’t intentionally send people to their deaths in a illegal war through false information..
All a bit tedious as was the needless measures set out in the first place

And this was politically motivated, it was put off for decades there was some reason put forward that after 4 decades he should get one [ maybe they hoped the sword might slip! ]

The thing that annoys people about Boris is he thinks the rules don’t apply to him, breaking lock down rules he made is just one example, he thinks he’s above the rules in general, at first it’s funny, but after a bit it becomes tedious.
