Offensive jokes thread, mission accomplished for some. Alternate version, obviously it, or something similar, was going to be posted, next time something like this happens DON'T open the thread. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Better here than in the rip thread, but there are some questions over the incident. How many ordinary cars are running around on ordinary tyres many of those of a questionable level of quality? Chinese, Russian, Indian. But still to have a tyre blow out is extremely rare, even then if travelling at a normal speed when such a rare thing happens would it result in a car vearing off the road and bursting into flames? The car was a lambourgini so no doubt had a size of tyre that only the premium brands make, no cheap and nasty Chinese rubbish. It been reported the car was carrying out an overtaking manoeuvre, with such a high powered car it would be easy to give it too much boot and lose control. Of course our thoughts should be with the victims family and friends, just two weeks after getting married to the mother of his 3 children. Absolutely shocking tragedy. RIP And as a footnote I lost a family member in a road traffic accident when a truck did have a tyre blow out, crossed onto the wrong side of the road and collided with another vehicle. That was over 50 years ago and it was an extremely rare thing to happen even back then.
Could have been an overinflated tyre, hit something in the road or if there was some sort of kerb, then spun off if the car was overtaking. I've had a blow-out once, driving a light truck with a few tonnes of concrete on the back and it fishtailed all over the road until I got control and pulled over... Was lucky the road wasn't busy as I swerved over the centre line. As you write, a tragedy for his family.
Speculating on what did or didn't happen will happen in due course because that's the way of things. Right now, imo, it's in very poor taste.
Apparently that road is known as a dangerous one, badly potholed and with a lot of accidents. A car ran off the road in nearly the same spot recently though fortunately no one was killed.
And so the speculation continues. Let the family get the poor buggers in the ground first before the post mortem starts.
