Meant to ask this after Saturday but forgot. Hung around after the game for a while on Saturday. We were just about the last two people to leave. I'd never seen the Valley empty before. The seats in the West Upper, NWQ and North upper were a sort of silver grey colour. Everywhere else they are red. I'd not noticed this before. Have we changed the colour of the seats recently or am I just losing it altogether?????

This probably belomgs in a "get a life section" but I just thought I'd ask.

The seats are definately red in the North Upper, one too many beers at half-time perhaps? <laugh>

I think its just the lights to be honest mate, they have ones which shine towards the seats in the 'darker areas' (I.e the areas closest to the roof - West Upper, North Upper etc) which do make the seats look a different shade. Pretty sure they're all the same colour though.

I remember there was a problem shortly after they put the seats in where those in bright sunlight bleached out, maybe those two had been sunbathing...

I answered my own question today. I was in the stadium chosing my Season Ticket seat. The WU and NU seats are older than the rest and have faded significantly to the point that they appear to be a different colour. You only really see it when the ground is empty. Now pass the wacky backy..........

Actually those seats are NEWER than the rest of the stadium, I can only imagine a different seat supplier was used and they're fading more quickly! Plastics do tend to fade in the sun...
