Where I lived in the UK we have a local store which although suitably expensive is crammed of stuff all made locally made produce. The quality smashes that of the likes of Waitrose & M&S, truly the one thing I miss from home. The reason for this post was the owners surname is Arkwright.
You live in a 'village' - please tell me this is not going to break out into a NSIS chorus I think we need to run a census check on you by answering the following questions; 1. Was your local village store run by an Asian? - if not your point is invalid 2. Do you come from a mainly white village? - if so can others afford to pay the rent to live there
Jarvis Adams was a nice old boy. My mum used to send me up his shop when I was about 7, with a shopping list that usually included 20 cigs.
My point is not invalid as I was obviously talking about my own experience not about some grim town where the highlight is a new Tesco
There is still a few little corner shops near me, despite there being about 10 Tesco/Sainsburys/Waitrose/M&S local things in the space of half a mile. The one I use is run by some bloke who is OK, but he has a bird who works there who is about 35 stone and always wears those pink joggers with "juicy" stretched out across her ass. I go in there as I'm hungry looking for some alternative to the **** sandwiches you get at the chains and leave with my appetite ruined and wanting to throw up.
It's that time of year now where mysteriously, firework shops start to appear in once derelict premises.
I've yet to see an Asian running a local butchers or fishmongers, no doubt there are though. Anyway i'd rather give my coin to a local shop keeper.
Running a butchers or a fishmongers requires skill, selling alcohol to kids don't, hence why Asian's chose to take over the Arkwrights of the UK
I'm not having a go at Asian's, just not sure why people choose to ignore the point in question, but hey, that's what happens on here.
But i do agree with your point about some local shops being over priced. The closest shop to me, all of a 100m away, i've only been in twice. Not cos it's run by an Asian, but the very fact it's way to over priced for bog standard random ****e.
