Slightly more obvious, but still overlooked by the majority of people:

there is a fantastic British movie called LAVA - its a really good dark comedy set in the Notting hill carnival area of London . Its probably gonna be quite hard to get hold of though ,

All the Broken Lizard films are good, but this one is up there with the best. And of couse...
The elevator scene from Big Trouble in Little China "Me to, I got a very positive attitude about all of this."
Breaking Away - 1979 - Directed by Peter Yates and starring Dennis Quaid and Daniel Stern among others. Diner - 1982 - Directed by Barry Levinson - Produced by Mark Johnson (good name that) and starring Mickey Rourke, Kevin Bacon, Steve Guttenberg, Daniel Stern, Ellen Barkin, Tim Daley, Paul Reiser - included in my favourite 10 films on the other thread.
A few i've atched recently- Made in Britain (Tim Roth is class as a skinhead, glue sniffing, work shy teenager trying to face up to multicultralism, mass unemployment, petty crime in the UK). Wind That Shakes The Barley (film depticting the start of the IRA).
I enjoyed Made In Britain, This Is England was also a great film. For a film where skinheads don't fare to well, 51st State is a great watch too.
Shane Medows is a good director- Dead Man's Shoes, This Is England, Romeo Brass etc. Haven't seen his Stone Roses Film yet.
