Was impressed with him when he came on, not bad at all for his debut considering his lack of action over the past year. Surely in contention for the derby next week?

That one flick to Cabaye was good enough for me.

2-3 good runs, lazy not tracking back to win a ball when he lost it.

Aye, lets hope we get the player that was so highly rated before he went to Man Utd.

He's always had lightning pace and a fair amount of talent - it was what he's got up top that we've always doubted.
He rarely seemed to pick the right option and ran down a lot of blind alleys.

It's a good move for the lad and I hope it works out for him and Newcastle.

Hopefully more game time will help with his decision making, he gives us a bit of a different option.

    Looked excellent.

Start him against the Mackems? Or keep him to come on at half time? Might have Marv back by next week too...

This is what I noticed straight away! He did do well when he had the ball.

I argues with a few that he is good enough for us and I'm confident I'm correct

His pace makes Jonas look like Nolan.

His dash into the left corner was unreal, it's been ages since we've had a player with that sort of pace.

Yeah, I have a feeling this will frustrate me hugely about him. As well as everyone saying how great he was..he barely touched the ball!

He doesn't backtrack???? FFS he's playing centre forward? If he backtracked an the ball got hoofed upfield and he wasn't there, the same people would be moaning asking where he was. It's his first game, give him a chance! Looked quite impressive to me.....

Were you watching the same match? He certainly seemed to be tracking back atleast to the top of our third from where I was sitting. Remember he was bought on for a striker, we needed someone up in order to (occasionally) hold the ball once we cleared
