Logged on to my Yahoo email account yesterday and found a stack of 'message failure' notices from the 'Postmaster'. Later on, a couple of mates rang me about spam email from my a/c. Just heard that Yaho got hacked - the hackers gained stacks of passwords so, maybe, that was what was behind my experience. Have now changed my password - and I'd do the same, if I were you and have a Yahoo account.
1/ I want to keep this near the top, so most posters/visitors see it; and 2/ Did anyone else have the same sort of experience?
I dont have yahoo myself but a similar thing happened with my hotmail account last year. Even though I had a 10 character alpha numeric password they still got in (probably hacked hotmail end).. It is always worth checking your own pc out with Malwarebytes anti malware to make sure there are no spyware cookies or keylogging trojans on your computer. Malwarebytes is free and available from http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html
Cheers terrac - I already have Malwarebytes installed (ran it yesterday, after the spamming case). It's also worth considering using 'Housecall' from trendmicro. It's found things that AVG and Malwarebytes have missed.....
