what is it with this country, if its not people queing to buy 50 pints of milk on xmas eve, its people emptying petrol stations at least a week before anything might happen, why are human beings such ****ing morons? its people who genuinely have no fuel who are losing out!

Have to say I found it surprising that Cameron said, effectively "might be best to top up". A Prime Minister wouldn't normally say this.

I flagged it up inside my brain and thought "eh up, that's weird, could lead to panic buying."

I look on BBC website and...panic buying. I'm not saying I'm Mystic Meg or owt (that's for you to go away and think about yourselves) but you could certainly see this one coming.

I'm close to being empty in my car, and I think Cameron has encouraged everyone to steal my fuel. Which angers me. Slightly.

You wonder why he said that, thats for sure, without going into politics all these people are crooks with vested interests as far as I can see, elect them and they will abuse your vote to protect their own self-interests, and I really mean politicians of all colours of the spectrum.

Think its only the mongs who have flooded into Asda and Morrisons, probably all twats who rarely go antwhere in them. Just drove back from Soutrh Yorkshire and not a queue at a garage.

It's even more ironic that all you hear on the news is - "the government made a huge mistake and caused panic buying". That sort of story is surely going to encourage even more panic buying isn't it?!

I heard that the increase in fuel buying had made the government an extra 30 million in tax revenue.

My mate was talking about stocking up on fuel last night, I quickly said "Are you gonna pick up your Daily Mail whilst you're there". Classic quip from me. Classic.

The government will make a ****ing wedge in tax off people panic buying, that's why he said it, fair play good sales tactic, bet the petrol stations ain't moaning either.

And good job you couldn't get fuel at morrisons, what dirty **** nasty fuel! Turn your approx 150k mile engine into a 100k running at about 20-25% less power and lower mpg too. Do yourselves a favour and get all your fuel from texaco or shell. Supermarket fuel is no different to supermarket food - complete and utter ****!

It's not extra, it's just that demand has been brought forward. Gets the spending into Q1 2012 and stops the economy officially entering a recession (2 consecutive quarters of negative growth - stupid saying that).
