Whitby is under water and they're evacuating parts of Grimsby.

Town's been dead this afternoon, both ends of Ferensway shut for different reasons.

It's been an horrible day, strong freezing winds and rain, but it's as still as Craigs penis now. Thank's for your concern Mel <ok>

Just come from hessle foreshore and the water is maybe half a metre from coming over. Hessle haven has started to breach. High tide and surge is still an hour away.
    Stay safe people.

Most rivers up here breaching, back from Manchester at lunchtime and journey horrendous, wagons down all over, lots of water and winds crazy; look after you and yours

The chances of me getting home from Bradford tomorrow then are looking fairly minimal.....

Good luck and stay safe people.
I was working in Hull (mainly Beverley) filling in insurance reports, installing drying equipment and organising teams to clear property's after the floods of 2007.

Seriously, I've just had THREE calls with an automated message from the environment agency.

    Severe flood warning for tonight.

    I don't know why they're ringing me...

    Take your brollies.

No floods for me, lots of wind though. There's crap all over the place, honed my driving skills on the way to work and back on the tree made slalom. Knew I shouldn't have had that curry last night... Sorry folks

Just heard Victoria Dock is flooding now, Kingston Retail park also. We may mock Radio Humberside but its at times like these it really comes into its own.

I'm currently attempting to make way back from London. It's like "The Day After Tomorrow" but in reverse.

My street has half flooded and the power is out, just me here with my iPhone in the dark!

They are waiting for the high tide to back off then hopefully the flood water will piss away.

My car is still dry...for now.

No torch, no candles. Guess I'll just sit and wait.
