As theres no football (well apart from the international break, which I don't care about) I was wondering whether any on here had any interesting relations? I'll start. I have three interesting ones. 1) My Nanas cousin was in the sound of music 2) I'm related to Motu Tony 3) My Scottish ancestors were that rich they built a castle which still stands now. The menzies castle.
Sticking with the Scottish castle theme, my mum's grandma lived in Edinburgh Castle as a kid, her name wouldn't be known but we now have in the family a ring that was used to belong to the Danish royal family (it was a gift from Princess Katherine of Denmark). The question for both of us must be where's the money gone? And with the musicals theme, I think it's my 2nd cousin, but might be my mum's 1st cousin (which would be my 1st cousin once removed) was the Supervising Music Editor on Mamma Mia. (as well as a music editor on loads of other films like Burke and Hare, X-Men First Class, St Trinians 2, Resident Evil Apocalypse, and yes I did just put those last 2 next to each other because it seems ridiculous that they had the same music editor) I can't match you on being related to a sportsman though.
With them being Scottish it's probably gone on both alcohol and sunscreen. There's some pretty varied film genres there to choose from . Wehey, more interesting by one

Here's some truth.. One of my cousins is called Paul Newlove and he played rugby league for England, GB, Bradford and St Helens.. My aunt is related to David Livingstone the Missionary & explorer who famously met H M Stanley in Africa.. and my dad is Pelé.. apparently he was quite good at footie..
My grandfather was a bit of a trouble maker in his pomp. Didn't get to meet my grandad, or Grossvater Adolf, as he apparently liked to be known. He's still out there as a hermit somebody said. On a serious note, there seems to be quite a few people on here with mixed English and Scottish ancestry. Add me to that and all. Mam did all her family history. It cost her an arm and a leg to find out nowt had ever happened in her family, except for my grandad being a close relation to a former Glasgow Rangers player. Those celebs on the geneology program must be selected, as there;s always something going on.
They are, I can't remember who it was, someone like Michael Parkinson, but they went to the trouble of getting them in and researching it all and found nothing interesting happened so they scrapped the episode.
They pick twelve celebrities for each series and just use the six that have the most interesting family history.
My mate was dumped by his then bird for David Gedge. Singer from the Wedding Present in case you wondered . The Wedding Present were an indie band who had some success in the early to mid nineties in case you wondered who they were as well . Overall not very impressive or interesting . Don't know why I bothered to be honest .
we've done some pretty exhaustive research on the family tree going back to the 17th century. In all honesty there is no-one of note anywhere in there.
