Some sense (at last) from this lass. Too little too late.

Her party has presided over a decades-log decline at local level, and despite Prescott and Johnson being very near to no 10 Downing St for several years in the last government, we appear to be still slipping towards terminal economic decline and an end-of-the-line prosperity-free ex port.

We need an electrified railway line, a motorway all the way to the Humber Bridge, Siemens to invest (with government help) but most of all proper jobs.

We need some powerful advocates talking in the right ears. Too late, Diana. You chose to sit on your hands when your party was in power.

Totally agree. Labour always have the answers when they are in opposition but never seem to grasp the nettle when they are in government. They could have done so much more considering all the money they spent. The North is in decline and it's hard to see it changing in the next five years.

Labour or Tory, not bothered. Just need someone to push for the links and infrastructure.

traditional labour crap, blaming the other lot. even after 13 years of labour government it was still always the fault of the other lot. now as the current goverment tries to fix the shambles left by labour and the credit crunch, labour still focuses hard on shifting the blame. i was torn at the last election between a wish to be rid of labour wreacking economic havoc on the country and a wish to see whether they'd finally accept some responsibility, though i knew they never would. what have prescott and johnson and their allies and their predecessors ever done for hull? answers on the back of a postage stamp to this address.

Just another politician who has all the answers when not in power, Labour had over a decade to make a difference and screwed up, and it will take that same amount of time for the rest of us to wipe their **** up...
