So now we`ve signed N`Zonzi, does he play left back I wonder. From what I`ve heard,he has a bit of a temperament,and I wouldn`t be surprised if he doesn`t `kick up` a fuss when TP tells him to play out of position all the time! Just me being cynical I suppose,but I would rather we had signed Popov.! Disappointed not to have offloaded Jones and Whelan,we`ve now got so many midfielders,no goalscorers and no prem.quality fullbacks.Roll on Wigan tomorrow!
Joe Must say I'm fairly plesed with this guy signing! I believe he's a fullback/come midfield player. So that's 3 if reports are correct NEW midfielders coming in. Adam surly must start as will Cameron who looked really good last weekend.. so, those 4 and Whelan I think? given that we all knew it needed VAST improvement they should all get regular football. MY PROBLEM is that.... Whitehead, Delap will still get games in front of these new signings. We'll see on Saturday Joe. Would have loved to have got Popov but hey, it's Pulis who is to blame for that cock up! I'm a little more happy than I was this morning mate.. nowt much we can do now except.. I completely agree potts, Im happy with the signings of Adam ans Nzonzi, we will have to see how Edu and Ness progress. Im happy we kept palacious but not happy that Jones didnt go. I just hope he plays the new players. In the end all in all a good transfer window really, we just need Pulis to allow them to play. UTPsssssssssssssssssssss
Not for me, Nzonzi played midfield whenever I saw him play and showed quiet a bad attitude on the pitch - several lash outs! However, fresh start and all that so lets hope he and Adam make a positive impact on the tea
I think we'll have to wait and see the team sheet over the next few matches before we know the score, hope TP gives the new guys plenty of time on the pitch and this is the start of us actually playing some football, knowing TP i won't hold my breath, cus they won't be Stoke fit!!
I do think he has a volatile character. He was plain nasty at Stoke but I beleive he can pass a ball and is good in the air where the ball is most of the time with us! Hope he can add someting in creativeness and also like the fact he is only 23!
I must admit that after going on the Blackburn site the majority seem to think we have stolen him from them at £3 mill. and I also play golf with a Blackburn supporter and he really rates him so fingers crossed! Pleased with the result today,groaned when I heard the line-up and definately thought we were in for a good hiding when conceding a pen after 5mins. The game seemed to change when Adam came on and Cameron sounded as though he had a solid game at right back.I wonder if Wilko will now be relegated to the bench in the future because from what TP said on P&G these new men are pretty flexible. At least it sounded as though we had a go away from home. I would still like to see the back of Whelan and Jones though and who knows they will maybe go out on loan? Anyway I feel slightly better about things after today
Just got home seen MOTD and I can not believe that Adam did'nt start? WTF are you playing at? Still, he did well when he came on and what a save that was by Al Habsi.. WHY does Whitehead have to start every week.. and he's a cheating chunt.. trying to win a penalty when miles outside the area.. get a grip Whithead, I think you day's may be numbered.. once N'Zonzi, plays Ness is fit and also Edu to play.. I would like to think that Whitehead would be bench warming more than playing. All in all, a very good pt and two guys who went today that I know well said. We were the better team 2nd half.. i.e. Adam was the difference.. keep playing him Pulis.
