Hi guys hope you are all well, anyway been reading on redcafe and theres a small discussion over your club having turned down a £23million offer from Man Utd for an unnamed player.

First off there are no sources so its likely to be rubbish but it causes no harm asking you guys if you have heard anything similar. It could just be linked to Pardews story in the press today.

Theres a few players of yours I would love at United which just shows how good a team you guys have now got.

Could be Cabaye, Pardew said yesterday something about how if a good offer came in he wouldn't be able to stop him going to you.

It was actually in the thread for Cabaye so its possible but theres a number of players who it could be at that money. Cabaye would be the best fit at Man United or at least the most needed.

    Source?

It seems Pardew's comments have had the desired effect of getting early bids if this is true.

£23m for cabaye and you turned it down? I find that impossible to believe sorry seen as newcastle signed him for 4m. I would say 16-20m would be enough to get cabaye. Then newcastle would use the money to reinvest.

The only guy I could see newcastle rejecting 23m for would be cisse, maybe HBA and Tiote.

Just chatter amongst some NUFC fans on redcafe so nothing worthwhile. Just thought I would ask if you guys had heard anything.

Tiote would be great for us, Newcastle need to keep him though and I think others will attract more attention through being more attacking players.

You could do with tiote and a top notch centre mid.

There was (wrong) talk of sneijder last year and that is the calibre of player who you should look to sign. You had it good with people like scholes who was top notch but who you didnt have to buy. Now you probably need to spend some money as the youth ranks at united have dried up.

Sneijder would be perfect if it led to a change in formation from 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1. I think fergie will change formation next year and move away from 4-4-2 even in the league.

We signed Carroll for a packet of revels in the playground and sold him for £35m, if Man Utd are willing to open bidding at £23m why should we accept straight away? We're not in a position where we have to sell so if it's Cabaye they want, why not play hard ball? <ok>

I've heard it's Perch. Double it and we will think about it.

This is how I see it:

    Krul - Value: 20m Sell at: 30m
    Tiote - Value: 20m Sell at: 30m
    Cabaye - Value: 20m Sell at: 30m
    HBA - Value: 18m Sell at: 35m
    Cisse - Value: 30m Sell at: 45m

We're not in the position to be generous sellers, if at all... If we're to sell then use the same tactics as we did with Mandy.

Why do fans of other teams think we'd sell our best players for as little as £15m? Not saying they're worth that but they're all on good long term contracts, we're financially strong and as proved with the Carroll sale we're no cheap sellers (MA rejected 30m and demanded 35)

I think the Carroll deal was partly down to the timing, the window wasnt far off shutting and if Liverpool wanted him so badly you guys were going to make them pay for it.

If we sign Kagawa and Tiote this summer I will be very happy. Both would add some serious class and presence to our midfield. Obviously you guys wouldnt want us getting Tiote but its a testament to how hes done this season.

Kagawa isn't a midfielder though, he's a number 10, plays where Rooney plays. Someone is going to have to change their game.

I could possibly see UTD chaning their formation to seomthing like this:

    ----------Welbeck----------
    Rooney---Kagawa---Valencia
    ------Tiote----Carrick------

to try to combat Citeh and their awesome front 4.

I don't think Welbeck is ready to be Utd's main hitman.

From those players (hypothetically if they sign!) id say-

    ----------Rooney----------
    Nani---Kagawa---Valencia
    ------Tiote----Carrick------
