16, born in Sheffield. Although I was always gonna be a Newcastle supporter as my uncle had signed me up to the Junior Magpies before I was even born, I fell in love when I was about 7...

I went to the first game of the season at SJP in 2002. I remember driving up with my uncle (who I go to more or less every game with) and bringing a Newcastle flag. We got to my grandma's and I hung the flag over the fireplace, and ended up forgetting it.
When I arrived home my grandma gave me a big kiss (<loveblush>) and said I was a lucky mascot. I'll always remember her face when I walked through that door. I think her happiness made me enjoy it even more and, looking back on it, I think that's what got me hooked. She always used to go on about how Sir Bobby was the right age for her and how they'd get married one day! Because of that I began to love Sir Bobby. She died 6 months later and then he died 2 years ago. It's crazy to think that those two are basically the reason why I love football, and now they're both gone <cry>

Wrong side of 50 I'm afraid. Born in Wallsend but parents moved over to Cumbria in the late fifties. All of family are/were from the North East and an uncle took me to SJP for my first game in the mid-sixties but I can't remember the opponents althoug can recall that the season was 1965/66 after promotion the previous year - an age thing I think - and have supported the Toon ever since although not a regular at SJP. Worked in the family business (insurance broking) which I (and the wife) sold about three years ago and this now allows me to attend games on a more regular basis - about 6/7 a season.
