    Almost certainly false, but a rumour posted on nufcblog.com is that a local German newspaper are reporting on NUFC having made a 14million Euro bid for Joel Matip. Apparently Schalke are unwilling to confirm if he is staying or going.

    Presumably if this goes through after the Greek default that will almost be a free transfer. Maybe that's what Ashley is waiting for-its called transfer hedging.
