This jaunmi character looks like a less versatile ayoze. Has nice touches and looks like a decent finisher though.

Do you reckon the shirts in that picture are deliberately chosen by Schteve as the men he can build his team around.

Looks OK. I'd be after 2, sell Cisse and see what McClaren can do for Arma.

What's interested me is that we don't seem to be being linked with the inevitable incoming never-heard of Frenchies... Why are the papers, and the fans, willing to believe for a second the manager has any say in transfers at this club? <laugh>

Isn't his release clause £4.5 million?

I wonder what class of player we can actually go in for nowadays. Due to the horrendousness of recent seasons, I expect we are below even the types who come to show what they can do, only to move on elsewhere. It's easier to showcase your talent in a team that isn't completely hopeless, easier on the bank balance as well.

We are probably at the same table as Sunderland, signing utter garbage from the fringes of better teams, and the odd player people used to be excited about, but concerns over their development/temperament/whatever put every decent club off them until they've proven themselves with a ****e club first. The latter will cost the most.

Certainly, competing for well known prospects will be quite difficult.

It comes to something when the likes of Seansea, with their div 1 crowds are outbidding us on a couple of players.
We ain't the attraction we were and won't be for a long time.

According to todays Mirror we are looking at Brighton CB, Lewis Dunk and the Mail reckons Charltons Jordan Cousins, CM. Now there's 2 mouth watering prospects for us. ( Not ) Only thing that can be said playing at that level is they should be cheapish which suits A$hley down to the ground.
