Yeah I’m thinking somewhere like Gran Canaria might be an option. Long haul is a ****er with toddlers regardless of Pandemics.
I’ve actually done Gran Canaria at Xmas, was OK but weather was only around 20C so pleasant without being lazing by the pool heat. Went for a Chinese banquet on Christmas Day which was random.
Yeah I’m not expecting to get in the pool like, just t-shirt weather would be fine. I feel like it would reenergise me for next year, when I plan to take a few risks in business, so a good recharge wouldn’t go amiss tbh. If I stay home it’ll just be carnage, stress and arguments.
went to Alicante last December and it was hot, also been to Malaga in December and it’s been sunny and hot, cheap flights as well.
No mate I ain’t an Eskimo, I was comparing the weather in UK to Alicante and Malaga in December, where it is definitely hotter than the UK - when there last year walked around in shorts and T-shirt’s and even went swimming in the outdoor pool and sunbathed !
I’ve swam in the sea in December in Marbella. Not warm, but certainly not uncomfortably cold. No worse than swimming in the sea at Brighton - in August.
I don’t swim in seas bro. I stand at the edge of them and get my feet wet. Things that live in water scare the **** out of me.
Saw one the other day, bloke jumps in with a ‘basking shark’ and it turns out to be a ****ing huge Great White... I’d pap myself if I saw a shark fin of any description within a mile of my location.
Not too bothered about sharks, though the thought of them might keep me out of the water if I ever venture to Australia. Jellyfish though <shudder>
