take a look at the bottom of the Championship, guess whose there?

Yes us, but also Preston and MKD!
So does this say more about this league and its teams, rather than its just us not good enough?

I predicted many times this would be a very hard season and staying up was critical and didn't expect too much ( but hoped of course) and its so far been right. I also worried about impatience too early in the season about if we had a bad start fans would turn on Cotts &co.

Yes we've all seen the threads about signings, money, manager, players and Bristol Sport, so we all know where we are at, but how long before the murmerings become full blown shouts moans and boos.

I hope its still a long way off, but its an under current at mo. call me stupid if you like, but i'll keep getting behind Bristol City 100%, because that's the only way I can help, hope you are all in too!

p.s. predicted 3-0 loss today, so sorry but well chuffed with result even if a little gutted we lost in last 4 mins!!

Quite agree. The gulf between the two divisions is a lot bigger than we thought

I am not so sure that the gap is that great. By all accounts, we have played really well against some of our "better" opponents and I watched some of the MK Dons v Derby game yesterday and despite their expensively assembled team, MKD certainly gave them a good run for their money.

The big difference appears to be experience. Somehow you knew that Derby were going to find a way to win and sure enough, they hung around in the game long enough and did in the end.

In the same way as with City and some of our opponents, MKD were the equals of Derby until they tried to settle for a point in the last 10 minutes and Derby's street smarts was enough to win the game....

The ill prepared are usually the first to feel the heat and that means us. The gap in class is noticeable and unless we plug the gaps soon we could be in for a rough ride.

Where does a team, like us this season, focus it's efforts in a bid to survive this division when you are up against other teams still milking the parachute club payments? The difference in declared revenue needed to avoid the financial scrutiny of the FFP is vast between clubs who have arrived here via different routes. It appears that if you take the road of lower league success to get here you are generally ignored by the prima donnas who throw money around as if they owned the world.

Not us though, as we seem to approach the dawn of a challenging season by looking the other way and hoping that nobody will notice us, and our troubles, in some kind of vain attempt to beat them all off with a big stick. Difficult times possibly ahead but let's hope we can pull something better than this together soon.

when you sit back and try to defend a 1 goal lead at the end of the game last 5 - 10 minutes it has a extreme "stress effect as you start to defend that 1 goal" when you concede that equaliser goal the "stress is thenmagnfied to a stressful disappointment factor ", however the opposition goes into a state of euphoria from one of a flat line determination nothing to lose to score because the opposition has no or little interest to risk conceding again by trying to attack. this euphoria now means you have the upper edge as the opposition is in 2 minds to now hold on to 1 point or try for the 3 again!
