Although many people are not overly optimistic about our chances next season, I believe that there is reason to hope. We haven't spent huge amounts of money on transfer fees and wages, we have conducted our business wisely.
However the key to our season is Jimmy Bullard, I know there has been several threads on his situation over the past few weeks, but after hearing Adam last night it appears that his saga may be coming to an end. If he's fit, training well and enjoying life playing football then he is the best player in the championship. He is without a doubt better than Danns and Greening but the key is keeping him happy!
Hopefully we will also be boosted by the sales of Ghilas, Olofinjana, Kilbane and possibly McShane which would cut the wage bill down by a decent amount maybe enabling us to bring in a good few loans or maybe another permanent transfer once the season has begun.
However the Championship will be much stronger next year and I would still like to see another defender coming in as well as a winger or two, but we will have to wait an season what the season holds.

I think JB is more talked about then jesus ! I dont feel that keeping one "OVERATED" player happy for the sake of the whole squad would be right ! this whole JB story with the main team is just some PR spin

Adam P. talked of good last night. Like him or loathe Bullard He Is The Key to our season. Bullard on song could well make Matty Fryatt the hottest striker in the championship this seaosn. All Bullard has to do is be the play maker. Leave the aggression, running and tackling to the likes of Mckenna, Evans for example. With Bullard and Koren they could end up destroying teams.

Blackpool being the first game. They play open and attacking football. Bullard and Koren on form ? Happy days.
NP has many choices not up front and in midfield. Just needs the No.1 keep and one more centre back(no guesses) in the house and a speedy wingman and City are ready to rumble. I am possitive. Looking at the so called strong teams they dont appear that strong to be. Nobody has an Adel Taarabt thats for sure. We do. Bullard. Over to you Jimmy.

Watching the player cam with Bullard the lads seem to get on well with him and to be honest made me forget about the current situation although I know we need to get rid on the financial side I say if he stays play him.

We could play him like Warnock did with Tarabt and say to him, stay in the opposition half, don't worry about any of the defensive side, and as said leave that to the likes of McKenna and Evans.

Correct. He's not an attacking midfielder like Taarabt or Koren, he likes to sit a bit deeper and be in charge of the game, control the tempo and shoot from distance.

Bullard and Koren both playing there A game would destroy any championship team for sure. With Matty Fryatt a potential goal machine with the right service its happy days.

I notice that Citys promotion odds are dropping now (15/1). Glad my £20bet was placed when we were 33/1.

The game both Pearsons are playing at the moment is making many other teams take much more notice. IMO,
Hull City are far more than dark horses. They are real contenders. Just dont fear any team in the championship.

This is the key. Teams like Leeds, Milwall, Norwich and Swansea showed last season that even with a weak squad on paper you just need to be aggressive and go for it. Teams like us, Cardiff and Bristol City had the players last year but fell short of where we might have because we showed so much fear. People were saying at the start of last season that staying up was the priority, the only teams saying that should be the likes of Scunny and Donny, not relegated PL sides!
