Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell has described Swansea’s promotion to the English Premier League as an “interesting twist”.

The Welsh side will become the first side from outside England to play in the Premiership after securing promotion via the play-offs.

And Lawwell, who has been a strong advocate of the Hoops leaving the SPL to compete south of the border, said: “It’s now the English and Welsh Premier League and that’s an interesting twist.

“We have a responsibility to maximise the potential of our club and will look at anything which allows us to do that.”

The Celtic/rangers joining the EPL story again.

Swansea worked their way up the English League Divisions to get into the EPL.

Seriously can we not just bribe The Conference League North to let us in and aim for successive promotions and be in the the EPL at the end of the next 6/7 years.

    Hail! Hail!

According to a recent report from Deloitte (?) we are actually financially better off in the SPL than the EPL.

I can't see it ever happening anyway. If it was going to happen it would have done 10 years ago when the Old Firm were a far more attractive proposition.

Quite honesty I don't see why Rangers fans should concern themselves about Celtic's quest to leave the bigoted and partial SPL and
try to get into the WEPL or EWPL which for all its faults doesn't practise sectarianism and religious bias.
Celtic will seek to go alone as the Rangers club and fans are abhorred in England and the clubs just would not tolerate Rangers fans
    visiting their stadiums.
