Yes we can do it Westy, however we need to play as well as we did on Saturday, Budgies to be average again and a bit more threat from our front two.!

agree with hoppers. Its possible but we do need a certain set of ingredients. I would also add play to win for the whole game. I thought we settled for a draw after about 70 mins on Saturday. I don't think it should be feasible but us being in the play offs at all didn't seem likely but MM's tough to beat set up as earned us unexpected wins throughout the season so lets hope for one more.

We'll do them 1-0, Murphy, put them right back in their place.

Weird mix of confidence and apprehension. It will be close. It will be Nervy, it wont be pretty. That might end up suiting us.

Start with the same 11 bar Varney - stick with Ando as his replacement. Keep it tight for 70-80 minutes. Then, McGoldrick? Or is a dream Murphy - McGoldrick - Sears frontline too fanciful?

Im usually quite optimistic about our chances, but I honestly can't see past a 3-0 defeat...I just think they'll be too strong for us.

Yeah...I've gotta sort out a Bristol glory hunter that's somehow attached himself to us, but I'll do it 'behind the scenes', by pm.

As an aside, booked up my 'naughty driver's' speed awareness course a couple of days ago, cost me £90, the fine would have been £100 plus 3 points on my licence...it makes sense to do it! <ok>

<laugh> It does. Mrs G has done it twice now, and she's never been over 40mph (sadly, in a 30 zone <laugh>

I've only had 3 points on my licence in all these years - it beggars belief! I've talked myself out of a few though.

You're right though, it's always those ones that get you.

Edit: ..and if you head towards Binland, you get what you deserve!

The only three games Alex Neil's Norwich have lost this season have been at Carrow Road. So not quite the fortress some of us are perhaps thinking? On Saturday, I think both clubs played with the expectation and pressure in mind. We both made some telling mistakes, looked a little uncertain in midfield and defence at times, and Norwich, for all their obvious talent and strength in-depth, struggled to create clear-cut chances.

We benefited from a brilliant defensive performance, considering Norwich often put us on the back foot. Luke Chambers was my man of the match because he made several crucial interceptions and tackles at the back, and Tyrone Mings had one of his best games in recent months, especially considering he was up against Nathan Redmond, a player who looks like a consistent Premier League performer.

My main fear for the return leg is that our away form isn't great itself. Our more direct style of football often has the habit of being 'found out' and exploited on our travels. We used it relatively well on Saturday, and Murphy's knack of winning an aerial duel benefited us. Yet our front two in Murphy and Sears were particularly quiet and you'd be forgiven for thinking that the Norwich backline would be more focused and energised on home turf.

However, Norwich are clearly going to be saddled with all the expectation and pressure, so we can hope they'll struggle to live up to their ability. We have to press them, something I don't think we did enough of in the first leg, and I'd like to think McCarthy will persist with a 4-3-3 formation, despite the injury to Varney. Another concern of mine is that McCarthy may go there to play for extra time and penalties by packing our midfield with an overly defensive and stodgy players, such as Parr, Skuse, Tabb, and Hunt. I think Kevin Bru played very well at the weekend, as did Skuse. So hopefully a more balanced and positive midfield trio of Skuse, Bru, and Bishop will be retained for this crucial game, where we'll need to score to progress.
