I have been in discussions with James Mooney at the club, and have had this confirmed this morning:

My question was in relation to confirming exactly what areas of the North Stand would for home support:
I did make other points which I will report back on tomorrow.

"I am away today, so I will be a little more comprehensive tomorrow if that's ok.

Firstly, N5 is for home fans, it will be for general sale but still home fans to give the vast majority of the North Stand to home fans.

N1-N6 is home, we then have segregation in N6, away fans from there to E3.

Yes, the stadium management company are working hard to improve the catering offering in that area of the ground - we recognise that it is important to make the experience in the North stand really exciting and we are looking at a variety of ways to do so - beer kiosk and hawkers particularly being assessed.

    Thanks,

    James"

So why stick new passholders and those moving from E1-E3 as far away as possible leaving the blocks nearest the away fans for walkups which could include a number of people more interested in the away team than City. It would be better for those fans to be nearer the West Stand rather than the people who it is hoped will be vociferous and creating an atmosphere.
Some people are blaming the Allams but I suspect this the police had a part to play in this.

The Police and SMC Health n Safety clowns need to get over to Liverpool and see how they do things.

The segregation of leaving so many empty seats is beyond words and needs sorting out at long last. We leave far too many seats empty and unsold. The SOLD OUT games are far from being sold out.

The Allams should be looking at this and the clowns who work for them on this process.

Until we can get the away fans upstairs and then allow the KC as it is now to be filled with just home fans all around the pitch then yes it will be.

N5 is for walk-ups, because for some games(ie Newcastle/Sunderland) where we don't sell out and the away team wants a bigger allocation, they'll presumably get that block. We also need to give a bigger allocation for cup games and season ticket holders object to not getting their normal seats for cup games.

Having stood and sung since the stadium opened a few hundred of us now have the 'choice' of being split up in a stand with a worse view, going in the upper west!! or having to wait to see if there's somewhere we can "sit down" in further along in the east. Some have simply walked away because of it.

All to improve the atmosphere. Little wonder nobody's taking ownership of it.

Seriously DMD how is it a **** view from the south stand or the north stand .

    It wasn't a **** view from bunkers either .

Or behind the goal at Wembley .

Iv been behind the goal at loads of grounds and always had a good view .

From e1 its not such a good view of the south stand goal anyway

Filey, the view from behind the goal is a factor in the football league laws on pricing. It's a lesser view and therefore subject to a lower charge than the side...except at the KC.

I saw the semi final from the side, and the final from behind the goal. There was no comparison in view, the side was far superior.

It's not just the view. I've also long standing friends and family that I meet at half time to discuss the game, plus a number of other factors which mean that for me and many others, the north stand is not where I'd choose to be.

Don't forget, when the stadium opened, AP wanted us in south stand and the bulk of fans objected, preferring the east stand.

I guess its just a case of some like and some don't like the move.

I like behind the goal best

    Others don't .

I can see why you prefer not to move .

    No consultation.

And it doesn't just effect those being forcibly repatriated.

A new responsibility is now being placed on E4/E5 to generate/spread noise and atmosphere along East Stand like E1-3 did or the East Stand will end up a modern football libary.

That responsibility extends around to South as well where sometimes efforts are heard from the S/E corner, that needs encouragement.

Is anyone in charge of Hull City anymore?

For me, someone at the club should be publicly taking ownership of the problem or we risk losing what atmosphere there was. Not so we can whine and blame, but so there's a focus for positive action and make the most of the opportunities.

Step one, we have to accept the changes as proposed are happening. It's too late to turn them back this year.

Step two should be the recognition that a significant section of noisy supporters are not happy. A way of talking to these people needs to be sorted. This should be public, as any resolution for them, knocks on to others.

One possible solution still available is to engage with what's left of the east stand. See who wants to go north, point out E4 is now the area you'll get cameras, cops and stewards as well as being a target for away fans taunts. Not all will want this, and may prefer to see if there's space in E5 onwards.
Make E4 another designated singing/standing area, but for more traditional types rather than the Palace/Boro experience.

Key thing is to talk to fans, so we don't feel so distant from the club. If people input into a situation, they'll buy into it and take ownership far more readily than being evicted and treat like a cheap circus act for other peoples entertainment.

I think a reduction in overall increase for the disturbance and poorer view would help, but given the stands are moving, what could the club do to encourage you to stay? Would an option of E4 as a standing/singing area be a consideration?

A reduction/price freeze for people who are being forced to move would be the ideal scenario,

Moving to E4 would be much more preferable than going to the north stand/west upper (providing there was space),

The price rise would be stretching my finances already, I also don't see why they've lied about the north stand being for the exclusive use of home supporters,

I might be a little more open to the idea, if I'd had any kind of consultation, coupled with a bit more time to get a deposit together

I think a lot of people feel the same.

This mess is still salvageable but first they need to stop denying it's a mess and look for ways to make it work.

You can pay by direct debit. If you're a season pass holder didnt you know you had to get the money for a new season pass regardless of price??

How did you find the money for two Wembley trips at such short notice?
