Good to see Maja get a hat trick. And good to see that Corberan as moved on, with that massive chip on his shoulder about Dan Ballard… Not!!. Said Maja had suffered a very unfair situation late last year. I think it may be helpful to him that we are playing them midweek in November, cause he’s going to get dogs abuse!.
Tbf it was a very poor challenge on him from Ballard. We'd be fuming if someone left one on one of our lads like that .
Going to be a huge test for both sides with an ageing Sheff Wed side with a decent manager vs an inexperienced Plymouth side and a dodgy manager. Sheff Wed's last few games were against teams that were playing for nothing, the same a Plymouth, Sheff Wed have only had 5 pre season friendlies, won one against a poor Irish side, drew against a moderate Spanish side and got beaten 4 0 of a less than average Austrian side. They did however get a respectful draw against Werder Bremen. Plymouth have played 5 losing one against Bristole Rovers, drawing another and winning 3 all against poor sides. Sheff Wed have made 3 signings that should strengthen a aging side, Lowe (27), Lowe (30) and Chalobah (29) albiet with players that have not really did anything spectacular in their careers. Their youngest player Cadamateri, son of Danny is 19. Plymouth have also made 3 signings two on a free and another for 450,00 for a 23 year old Hungarian left back, the other two are also defenders one 33 and the other 20. They have also 3 loan signings form Leeds, Tolouse and Slavia Prauge, Midfieilder (20), left wing (21) and a forward (23) Sheffield Wednesday pre-season form: W L L D D Plymouth Argyle pre-season form: D W W L W Score Prediciton: 2 - 1
He was jumping up and down most of the game like a deluded spolit child wanting somethng his parents would give him!!! The bloke needs to clalm down, it's a loooooong season
It's a banker that the commentators mention Rooney's name more than any player, even Bannan ... ... and I'll go for 6 'Wayne Rooney's Plymouths'
I’m in. 4 Rooneys 4 Bannans 2 ‘wands’ 2 mentions of ‘could have went higher but he stayed loyal’ 1 **** haircut.
That's a clever observation mate ... ... almost always use the full name when they mention them, as if they're football royalty. As a bonus there'll be a prize for how many err's Rooney mumbles in his post match 'we were the better team and didn't deserve to lose' interview ... ... I'm saying it'll be the very first thing he says and ends up with 16
My prediction is that Rooney will be insisting that his team try and intricately play out from the back despite not having the personnel for it (a la his Birmingham side last season) and Wednesday, with one of the best drilled and ochestrated presses in the league under Rohl, will have a field day.
Interested to see Wednesday today considering they’re our next league opponents. They look really strong on paper. Think them at home is going to give us an indication as to where we are.
I'd agree if it wasn't Plymouth mate, I think they'll struggle ... ... and why weren't they made to play at Boro with a 12.30 KO
8 Wayne Romney's Plymouth side 7 Bannan's influence/experience 3 Palmer still composed at 32 2 Sheffield Weds experience 1 Plymouth young side 1 Sunderland next game be a test
Also I do note that most Championship EFL matches that are televised on Sky, there is nearly always a reference to Sunderland.
True, and they're not even very good imo. Incidentally now we're unable to post about yesterday's Sunderland game ... ... it just shows how wound up you get watching Sunderland live, I only noticed Cardiff's drum today. And also, has anyone realised Sheff Wed always give Bannan the smallest mascots to make him look normal
