We really rate Dan Neil. He’s 5 years older than Miley and never kicked a ball in the PL. This lad has serious potential
Not really how it works is it? So every lad who’s ’kicked a ball in the PL’ at a young age is automatically better than someone like Dan? That's actually a wild statement, many play 10-15 in the PL and are out of the game altogether by mid 20s. How many games did the other Longstaff play for them? Canny few. Without a club last I read after being let go by Colchester or summat.
Absolutely not. I rate Neil, think he’s quality but at 17 he wasn’t playing at the level this lad is. I think they’ll both go to the very top. I hope Miley fails but he’s looked the part since coming into their side.
Ah I wouldn’t say I hope he fails mate even if he’s one of them. I just don’t see anything stand out in him yet. Like I say the other Longstaff played a bunch of games for them and he’s without a club before 25
I’ve seen a fair few of their games (they’re always on TV) and he’s never once looked out of place. He was very good in Paris where he played 90 minutes against PSG. That’s impressive for a lad at 17. We’ll see over the next few years how he develops…
