Jesus Christ, why do we support a club run by such clowns!

Although, this is from the Mirror so fingers crossed it's more bollocks

Hope this isn't true, as even if we bring in great quality such as Cabaye and Gervinho, you won't get the same togetherness, team spirit and determination without players like Barton and Nolan.

Our squad's thin as it is, we can't continue to keep stripping it. If they get rid of Nolan and Barton then we can kiss goodbye to team spirit.

I guess this is the shock news in the sunday sun...?

Team spirit is what kept us up last season, the last thing we need is to lose it. It's all very well bringing new players in but we need to keep the players that played such a big part in keeping the changing room together.

IF this is true I will be truely baffled as the the decisions that the PTB are making at the club because it seems really stupid to get rid of our players with that extra experience to pass onto the younger players and keep the team spirit in tact.

Mark Douglas on Twitter said something about a shock being in the paper tomorrow and I thought it would be something like this. That said, it is in the most unreliable paper ever written and it may not be true.

This is mental but at the same time......

....no it's mental but they're serious about this 'new arsenal' thing

This would be disgraceful. Nolan brought the team together and acted like the best captain we've had since Shearer when he got the armband shortly after we were relegated. He scored a plethora of goals in the championship and scored about 12 this season. How do Ashley and Lambiarse thank him? By not extending his contract?

I know that football is turning into business and a place for sentiment and gratitude is slowly fading away , but come on. He's got another 2-3 good years ahead of him and even if he didn't start all of our games next season , would be great to have as back up and of course important to the team spirit.

Give the man a new contract!

Is this for me mate? If you don't believe me google it. There is two links, one kop forum with same topic and one other link saying the andy Carroll deal is to be investigated by sky news.

There are some links. The discrepancys are well shown in the Carroll deal. It was Nolans agent that engineered the move after a recommendation from nolan to Carroll. The NUFC board know this and DO NOT want him, hence no contract.

Take it as you will. I ain't claiming it to be true but seems to all add up. Although our club is run by idiots Nolan is the club captain and I'm sure on a low enough wage to keep. End of.

Would be a ****ing joke if true, but in all honestly, it wouldnt surprise me.

Getting rid of Barton and Nolan would be the worst thing we could do. Would tear the spirit completely out from the team.

No matter how much quality replaces them, with no spirit you still get relegated. Would have thought Mike Ashley had learned that by now. <doh>

He has two years left on his contract anyways, if he's so sure he'll stay for his career why is he in such a rush to get a new one signed?

You'd think that at least one person in the club would have learned something about football by now to know the true worth of players like Barton and Nolan and what they do for the team off the field as well as on it.
