While the old bint was bagging my beer up in Tesco earlier I had a wee look at the board and seen that this Wednesday is No Smoking Day. Anyone going to give it a try?

I would ****ing love to stop but love my smokes too much.

I'm not a smoker, never have smoked and never will, but I just don't get the point in these sort of things. If someone wants to quit smoking then they will, does it really take for there to be an actual no smoking day for someone to finally decide to stop? Even just for the day? It's all down to your own choice, you either want to do something or you don't. No matter how bad smoking is for you I don't think people should be forced into making that choice

I quit twelve years ago, it was one of the best things I've done. I stopped when I was diagnosed with asthma, and I did it cold turkey.

I'll just add that for the past two months I've been into jogging. From not being able to manage fifty yards when I started, I'm now comfortably doing five miles (which I did last night). I even have a flat stomach. Very little beer, no ***s, very few pies and loads of smoothies, best shape I've been in (and I'm in my mid forties).

I don't smoke and not a big drinker - rarely eat pies and love my five a day, exercise strenuously at least 4 times a week but could never describe my stomach as flat ! What size dresses can you fit into ?

With those measurements you 'sound' as if you are not tall ! - and usually shorter men do not seem to suffer from man boobs !
Bad luck last night - I know how you feel - my team lost to a 96th minute goal on Saturday ( sometimes these referees just don't want to let go of the limelight )

10 months off the ***s this month.

But I ****ed my ankle playing football and can't excercise (properly) and I've never been heavier.

The fightback starts now though!!! I've asked Tina to help me get fit again, she sent me her "Get fit" DVD last week.
