I've heard it all now...........foreign owners in the Premiership think that relegation should be done away with..........

What next...........no team from a lower league should be allowed to beat a Premier league club in a cup competition.........that will just about screw everything down.

That should help to finally put the last nail in the coffin for many clubs.

We must not think of course that football is a game.......it's a big juicy business that only includes Sky and the Premiership...........know your place peasants.

It's clubs like Argyle that give football a bad name...........fancy.........going into administration I ask you.........what next.

If there was no relegation then the foreign owners would have their investments protected because then they would never lose that much even if one of their teams was clearly not good enough for the Premiership.

It would kill the Premier league off because if there was no relegation some teams (who are in danager of relegation every season), would think "bollocks to this - we might as well not pay through the nose to buy a team because we wont lose anything ultimately." Even the fans would become bored of a league with no relegation.
Where's the fun? If you don't get punished for being rubbish, its like playing musical chairs but no chairs ever get taken away.
It makes it completely unfair to the lower leagues - whats the point in competing if you will never get to the top no matter how good you are?
This reflects just how ignorant some foreign owners are.

I bet this idea came from Blackburn's owners (currently second from Bottom - in relegation coincidently!)...

What sort of Toytown league has no penalty for failure?

Just becomes a manufactured, artificial & pointelss TV viewing experience doesn't it, X Factor on grass.

I can only think that these foreign owners are hoping to "Americanise" our sports further. Although the FA has said it could never happen should we trust them? Could these owners form a breakaway league if they don't get their way? Whatever happens it is worrying that it is even being considered.

There has been talk of a breakaway league for quite some time anyway so my view would be let them go if they want it that badly. In the end though would it benefit them. People like bragging rights as part of their Saturday afternoon's entertainment and love bragging rights when the season ends and their team is on top. Would they then soon lose their love of football or supporting one of these clubs if the competition was taken away. All those armchair supporters would have nothing left to shout about. To take the competition out of a competition sport is ludicrous and in my opinion will never happen. In fact this was something somebody threw into the arena which the FA are already saying was never on their agenda anyway.

Good idea no relegation, 4 quarters for increased advertising revenue, specialist sets of players for attack, defence, corners and kick-off, 10 minute break between each stop in play ohhhh and why not wear helmets and pads too. Still no worries with the champions of football and pillars of virtuosity we have in place at the FA there is no way they will sell our sport or clubs futures down the river.

Just read the article on BBC sport about Dave Whealens views on the subject-he would take Wigan out of the Premiership if it was agreed,Sir alex thinks it's bollocks also.Just more evidence that the Premiership has turned into some kind of sick artificial cabaret for the super rich.Bollocks to the lot of them I say.I would rather follow Argyle or Torquay in league 2 (as I do) than be one of the sheep who "support" the big 4 anyday .

Typical of the Premier League they dont give a toss about the football league clubs they bleed the lower league clubs dry by taking the majority of revenue and leave us to fend for our selves as they all know we all live on a shostring when we find some young talent they try and screw us to get the players for nothing but what beats me most of all is that if all the wealthy owners pull out of these clubs does that mean they will have to be relagated.
The biggest joke is you had the Birmingham owner last season when they were in the premier league who is as dodgy as hell so would that mean they should have been demoted and you also had the previous owner of Man City another dodgy bloke and the owner of Portsmouth so all dodgy owners and what would the rule be for them.

Total idiotic idea by these idiotic foreign owners so no one can have the ambition to get promoted.

If they dont like it these foreign owners ought to sod off.

Godd luck by the way PAFC in geeting your take over sorted im a Swindon fan so weve been through the same but i hope you dont start putting results togehter until after this weekend. A nice win when you play Oxford next week will be great but we need to beat you to start catching up with the top three.
