Which some will. As a northern monkey i get just shy off 100 a day. It won't compare to many, but still decent for up here. Only Nissan pay that, and you have to be a souless **** to work there. Currently watching the Savills auction online. Most of the lots are in the SE and the prices some are going for are eye watering even though the auctioneer is having to work hard to generate competition. One guy just picked up a studio in Kennington for 190k on the opening bid and that will be considered a bargain!
Depends on the area. I live near the seafront with a ****y postcode. Go inland a few miles to pikeyville and you'll get something cheaper. Plus aids or murdered probably.

According to yesterday's Observer, around 10% of those properties are ex Local Authority or Housing Association. **** knows where ordinary working people are meant to live in London now.
Or Bristol as they are installing some high speed rail line. Average house price here is something like £260k anyway though and that will go up when that rail line is done.
