As I pointed out last week, he's quickly come to the conclusion that he's walked in to a right old fooking mess with us, and he's trying to figure out whether he should make a dash for the door or not before it got worse, I reckon
So may different opinions on the game and the manager's behaviour. At least it gives us something to discuss.
If the view is that Holloway is slightly unhinged then he's the ideal manager for us as a basket case club...... IMO he needs to find his right personnel and formation and stick with it. Last night even the commentators were confused as we appeared to start in a 2-2-4-2 formation yet against Norwich it was an obvious 3-5-2. I quite like the idea of Hall being the holding midfielder, he has the talent to play there.....maybe Rotherham in a weeks time we'll line up something like.... Smithies Kakay, Ned, Lynch Pawel, Cousins, Mass, Hall, Robinson Sylla, Polter I'm all for flexibility depending on the status of the game but start with something that the players are comfortable with and know their rolls.....
I didn't get that formation at all. Two strikers and no width at all with a defender in midfield for what? To accommodate Sandro?
I agree with the sentiment but Joey ****ing Barton? Do you really think it's helpful to have a **** in the team?
I have no doubt he's right (about players in general, though there are many exceptions) and I don't think Ollie has any deviousness about him unlike a couple of his predecessors. But a bit naive to say that to fans. And it's good to get your excuses in early. Posters may remember that we used to have two big 'leaders' in our team, Clint and Barton. And we were still ****. Probably because neither of them were decent players. The only real leader I have seen in recent years at QPR is Ryan Nelsen. Richard Dünne came close, but like Clint, he had plenty to concentrate on in his own game let alone everyone else's.
The way this league is currently i can see 8 or 10 teams just finishing above the relegation zone If we get done away to Rotherham then of course there are real problems Ipswich game could have gone either way Wolves game spoilt by sending off and poor ref Holloway cares for our club that's enough for me Fans have to catch onto the idea that we haven't got any rights to be a football team we have done nothing apart from buy talent in and some poor talent at that. It didn't work hence why fans current expectations are too high
Nelson and Duane were natural born leaders I ****ing hate Barton on the pitch. He is a pretender why? Natural Born Leaders lead by example The barometer of forums shows exactly where we are ... searching for excuses, suggesting new players and managers every five minutes So IMO again this is about self acceptance. Your average QPR fan is in misery and the sad thing is most are happy about that
Both my wonderful sons saw the game same as you immediately ... one of them was/is a very good player but choose Fanta and Catering over a footie career: No width and huge areas left for the wing backs to control ... and one was found out stretching just to win a tackle in the first 34 minutes But I care not let the experiments begin doctor at least Henry played correctly positionally ... plugged what he could with ten men and little outlet .. prior of course to the frantic finale which was brilliant
So it's Polter, Washington and Sylla that need ditching? Is taking a $hit corner counted as creating a chance?
