So according to PL he will be sticking to his tried and tested policy of going through the lower leagues for hidden gems for next season, and wont be heading over to the european continent to find any bargains there. http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...erseas_transfer_market_is_too_pricy_1_1375473 Blimmey doesnt he keep you guessing, so far he has said that there barely anymore hidden gems in the lower leagues so we will have to explore other avenues, then he says that foreign players are too expensive so he will keep to his policy yet there are so many bargains on foreign shores and he knows it!!
TBH, I'm getting a little bit brassed off with how much 'noise' comes out of the club regarding transfers. Lets get this season finished, then we can start talking about how much we have to spend! Seriously, it seems like a new story comes out weekly about what our transfer plans are for the Summer!
I don't get why many fans seem to be particularly desperate for us to dip into the foreign market?? As long as the players do the job, who cares where they come from!
Blows this out of the water then ! http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...ich-and-west-brom-eye-french-defender-171791?
Well, I am a big fan of foreign players and I'm suprised Lambert is saying they are too expensive when its the British players who are by and large overpriced. I'm all for them, they pass better, are more intelligent and generally have a better outlook as to what constitutes playing well. I love foreign players, they are the best thing about the Premier League
The main problem with foreigners is a language problem! They're told to behave like divas and mistake that for divers!
I'm siding with carrabuh over this, it's a worrying trait! Nikica Jelavić at £5million is a great example of a foreign bargain, compare this with Carroll across the city for many times that figure. We've unearthed some absolute gems from the lower leagues (when I say we, you know what I mean!). I'm proud of fielding an all British team (and Hoola and Ayala), but wouldn't be against other foreign players just for the sake of keeping it close to home. We've done brilliantly, but we have to keep improving, if that's what it takes, so be it.
I don't really mind where players come from but i did like the fact that this season we fielded a starting 11 who were all born in england for the first time in the PL since 1999.
