Honoured you have me mentioned. But Piskie already beat you to that one on our board. (although think the idea stole from tottenham)

I think it all depends on who's fit to play. Gervinho, Theo and Koscielny back and I think we'll give them a scare. Without them I can only see a draw at best. What concerns me is the lack of players who appreciate the sense of rivallry between the clubs. With the exception of RVP and Chessers I can't see anyone treating it as anything more than another game. I'm sure they'll be professional and so forth but we'll miss the passion that the likes of Cesc would throw into these derbies. Boo-urns.

No, the other way round. As acknowledged by Piskie, to be fair.

This is the first NLD in years that, as a spurs fan, I feel confident of winning, having said that, we will probably now lose.

I think the script is written for Adebayor to score against his old club and I'm also backing Defoe to score one, I can't see the cumbersome Mertescaker living with his pace. I realise he is a highly experienced German international but he really lacks pace and has the turning circle of a cross channel ferry. you have to wonder why no other top clubs have come in for him before....

Eton. You mean "why has no top clubs have come in for him". The Other is redundant now.

Terry and Vidic are tanks too, doesn't make them bad. It helps that both are partnered by quick players. Luckily we have... ah wait, they're all fooked.

Don't mistake me, it's Spurs' to lose. Hopefully this will take off some of the pressure that has dogged Arsenal recently.

If we get Vermaelen back then we have a good chance of beating Spurs. Our main problem is our defensive organisation. With Verm back i am more confident.

On a side note, don't you think either Verm or Mertesacker with their experience and skill should take charge of things at the back? We are crying out for someone to take charge!

Draw would be a ok result but if we play well we are capable of beating Spurs so I will be looking for 3 points. After 3 wins on the bounce we will be confident and this is the time to try and put down a marker and show the top end of the table we are still there and getting stronger.

  16. I fully agree Mr 20K.

Keeping them out would be vital for us this weekend.

I'll be shocked if you do <laugh> but I do agree that you look the stronger team. If we get our defence in order then both clubs have all to play for. If we don't I'll be calling for the heads of Wenger and Gazidis.

I'd play Song and Mertesacker at the back with Gibbs at LB and Frimpong at DM

    I do hope you're right :D

Seriously though, I don't think either defence is likely to cover themselves in glory due to the attacking ened to end nature of recent NLDs but I'd say ours is the better, certainly the more settled and experienced.

Song and Mertesacker did pretty well last night against Olympiakos - apart from the corner which led to their goal.
But oh - how we miss Vermaelen.
Once he's back, I think we'll be solid at CB.
Koscielney hasn't had a good game yet this season, it's a relief he's out.

Anyone bold enough to make a prediction?

    I'm going for 2-2
