    Nine little fixtures
We still have left to go,
    The first, Huddersfield away
Will test us, as we know,
    They still need some results
    To help decide their fate,
    So let´s overcome this one
And then there will be eight

    Eight little fixtures
    Twenty-four points in all,
    It´s unrealistic to expect
    No minor slip or fall,
    But Forest at home
With luck, match made in heaven,
A win here would set us up
    Nicely for the next seven

    Seven little fixtures
Once that damn break is gone,
The next down on the South coast
    With our old boy, Hughton,
    He had many problems
    Here, which he couldn´t fix,
I´m sure he´ll want to prove a point
And then there will be six

    Six little fixtures
    The next quite closely packed,
Will stretch the squad strength of some
    But that we´ve never lacked,
    The Owls are our guests
    When that time should arrive,
    Safe in mid-table, I´d say
    So quickly on to five

    Five little fixtures,
    The next two both away,
They could play quite a large part
    In us having a say,
    Neil Lennon´s Bolton
He picked them off the floor,
And was for some a target here
    After this, only four

    Four little fixtures
Where nerves may well set in,
But no place for that if we
    Are still hoping to win,
    Leeds once great and awesome
    Are no longer mighty,
But on their patch, still a threat
And then there will be three

    Three little fixtures
And now the heat is on,
Any slip now could just mean
That a good chance is gone,
    And to just remind us
That there´s still work to do,
`Boro from the north are here
    Before we´re left with two

    Two little fixtures
    Between us and glory,
Time for all hands on the deck
    To pull unitedly,
    Rotherham away it is
    Just longing for the sun,
If they´re safe for one more year
And then it´s down to one

    One little fixture
But what a one at that,
Especially if we have to win
Who popped out of the hat,
Fulham, and how sweet ´twould be
If just for once this year,
A meeting with them could bring
Us the ultimate cheer . :) OTBC - INIT

Wonderful and cleverly inventive, you really should earn money from your talent, I have seen and read professional poets that are nowhere near as entertaining as you are!

You´re very kind Dave, but I´ve never been in it for the money as you know, fortunately I´ve never needed to be, but of course if someone was prepared to pay me for my work, then naturally I would gladly accept, although having to make a living from it would make it tougher, I´m sure, and almost certainly less enjoyable for me.

    Thank you Thai

Brilliant as always RBF and some awkward ties to be negotiated and being greedy, I'd like to see us amass around 20 points from that lot and see how close that takes us to the autos. If we can maintain the form we've had since AN arrived, it's possible, but it will be tough.

Some exciting fixtures for all the teams in the top 6.

JR - looking at that lot, and with so few points between us, it´s impossible to call, absolutely impossible !

I agree and I'll be surprised if either of the top two positions are decided by 2nd May, though I don't really see the top 6 changing much!!! Luckily for Brentford, they're GD is about the same as 1P5wich's and they have an easier run in - I wonder if Wolves might replace them though.

Very much so Fleet. To misquote David Brent though, Agatha Christie's was written before racism was bad - they don't write 'em like that anymore, classic!

No coincidence there Fleet, as I had the ´Ten Little Naggers´ in mind, while writing it :)

    Excellent work as usual, RBF.
Let's just hope we're sitting pretty in the top 2 at the line 'and then there were none'.
