They really are horrible twats some of these guys, and yet clubs still sign em and pay big money, spot on jayc, scum.
Clubs will take them back time and time again, if they can do a job for them. Its the governing body which needs to take a tougher stance, IMO.
Innocent until proven guilty? I know Ranger has previous for acting like a twat, but we don't know if he's gonna be charged never mind convicted of an offence yet!!
Driving back from Peterborough, I was listening to 606 and a Geordie bloke came on absolutely ranting about the fact that Nile Ranger had just been given a new 5 1/2 year contract. Said he was the least talented footballer he'd ever seen and he doubted he'd make it into the Gateshead FC reserves.
My point still stands. Players who are indeed charged with such offences should be banned for life. The FA need to be tougher on it.
Do you mean convicted or charged? If the latter, what if they are charged but found innocent at trial? They would then have been deprived of making a living for a considerable time.
He's scored 4 goals in 63 league appearances, with a record like that it's a bit of a surprise he got a 5 1/2 year deal.
