has been informed that the Nigeria Football Federation has not dropped its pursuit of Hull City wing-back Moses Odubajo to represent the national team.

The Greenwich-born Odubajo was one of the players that was considered for the upcoming friendlies against Mali and Luxembourg but it appears he will continue to represent England as he remains undecided whether or not to pledge his international future to the Africa powerhouse.

Dream Team VI coach Samson Siasia first invited the former Leyton Orient starlet to a training camp in December 2014 ahead of the qualifiers for the Olympic Games but the player did not honour the call up because it fell outside Fifa window for national teams get-together.

Three months later, he was extended an offer by the the English FA to play for its U20s and suited up against Mexico and United States in friendly games before playing at the Toulon Tournament in the summer of 2015.

The 22-year-old Odubajo has not played competitively for England at any level, meaning he will not need approval from Fifa to switch his international allegiance, like the case involving ex-Holland youth-teamer William Troost-Ekong and former England U16 starlet Alex Iwobi.

To some extent, the Super Eagles right-back position has been problematic, with the coaches fielding makeshift stoppers Leon Balogun, Efe Ambrose and Abdullahi Shehu in that position in recent years.

If they play him at RB it will still be problematic.

He stands a better chance of getting a few International caps with Nigeria.

Nigeria are 67th in the current FIFA rankings compared with our (somewhat generous :emoticon-0100-smile ) 10th.

Ingerlund will do far better than many people think. Potentially they should now be ranked near the very top. Bookmark this post.

I reckon he has half a chance if he keeps working at his game, decent right backs with pace aren't ten a penny, we still haven't seen the best of him. Next season I'm sure he will be a real star for us, also Nathaniell Clyne plays for England and is he really that good?
