Nigel always goes on about after the game that he takes 4 positives and 1 negative out of any game. I'm going to take four positives and one negative going in to the game: Positives: 1. We are top of the league 2. Our home form is incredible 3. Our interplay this season at times has been breath-taking 4. We have belief - even when going behind. Negatives: 1. We need to win and West Ham draw or worse, so Pompey can't knock us off top spot! So what are yours?! No7
When we lose a league game under Nigel, we always follow it up with a win in the next league game. (If you don't count his very first match vs MK Dons, when he'd only been in charge less than 48 hours - these days a lot of managers seem to sit in the stands, and let the caretaker remain in charge if their first game is so close to their appointment, as this one was. We followed up that defeat with a 0-0 draw.)
1. We're top of the league 2. We're excellent at home 3. We have players who can make a difference 4. The team spirit is still very high 1. Lambert s probably still out
