http://www.redmancunian.com/2013/01/03/nick-powell-set-for-a-loan-move/ Man Utd want him to get some game time in the Championship, and a number of teams seem interested. Given our issues in midfield why the **** aren't we at the top of the list of potential teams?! He's got everything we need! He's got some experience in the Premier League, he's as creative as they come, he's got a heck of a pass on him and his goal scoring ability is fantastic. Fergie Jr wants him, so he'll probably end up signing there, but I think we could offer Nick Powell so much more, and him linking up with Davies and Baldock would turn a lot of Championship defenses into dust.
Would have to start baldock and davies first. If I was fergie I wouldn't let him come anywhere near our club. Why would he want Powell being loaned out to a club for us not to play him.
...and to most likely consign his own son to relegation and possibly being out of a job. He would like young Darren to take over from him I reckon. So we will not get a sniff of any Man Utd players in this window.
I said he would 'like' him to. I didnt say he would. But it wont ever happen if he gets the chop from the Posh.
Posh will probably be his destination but woe betide them if Jr ever gets the sack because Fergie will take any loanees back immediately. Preston found that out to their cost - i.e. relegation.
I wonder if Man U really care about how much wages they might save for such youngsters out on loan, but instead look at it as a very good way of getting better quality football for them instead of Central League or whatever has replaced it. Thus it is probable that Peterboro managed by Fergie Junior may only pay a token amount for loanees from Fergie Senior.
Hush your mouth cidered. You don't really think that junior will get preferential treatment from his dad do you? Hang on minute I seem to remember another club where that was an issue, but can't remeber who. I know it was City (lol).
I have always felt that George Boyd would be a good signing for us. Possible be a cheaper option than Danns and could be played out wide or centre midfield
From what I've heard, Lee Johnson isn't doing too badly beyond the wall. I think even now he'd add something to the team. Anyway, it's been reported that Nick Powell doesn't want to go to Peterborough, but would like a loan move elsewhere in the Championship or abroad. I doubt he'd want to come here, but there's no denying that he'd play every single game if he wore a City shirt.
