Published on Monday 14 May 2012 09:11 STRIKER Nicklas Bendtner was stopped by police after he was reported for driving erratically following SAFCâs season finale at the Stadium of Light. A member of the public reported the trouble-hit player at around 5.45pm yesterday, after spotting him on Sunderland Road near Boldon. The 24-year-old was not arrested by police. However, he was spoken to by officers after concerns about the way he was driving. The on-loan Arsenal striker wasnât in the starting 11 for Sundayâs game against Manchester United and didnât even make the subsâ bench. And when questioned about the Daneâs absence, OâNeillâs response was: âNicklas Bendtner? I chose not to pick him.â Following the incident last night, Bendtner Tweeted: âHaha life is a box of chocolates u never know what you will get.â The playerâs incident with police on his way home from the MUFC clash is not the Danish Internationalâs first brush with the law during his time on Wearside. In February, he was banned from driving for 56 days and fined £660 after he was caught speeding in his Porsche. He was clocked at 103mph on the Woolsington bypass, near Newcastle Airport, in December. Newcastle magistrates were told he was on his way to the airport and was late for a flight. Also in December, the striker faced five charges of criminal damage after cars were damaged in Stowell Street, Newcastle. The prosecution offered no evidence against him and magistrates in Newcastle cleared him of the charges. He was originally charged with teammate Lee Cattermole who accepted a caution for the incident.
I bet when the policeman said,"Name please sir", Bendy will have replied,"FFS dont you know who I am"
