I liked Niall McGinn. An earnest player with pace and talent which still needed a lot of development but if he gets a run of games and gets his confidence up, he could prove a decent asset. Think he spent the last year or so on loan at Brentford but don't know how he did there. He's still only about 24 so he has time on his side at the moment.
An under-rated player for both Celtic and Aberdeen IMO. Scored a goal against St Mirren in a midweek cup game at Parkhead that was one of the best I've ever seen - beat about five of them and megged the keeper with a run that started in our half. In fact, I'm sure I was in the old Beach End when he scored a volley against us in his second spell at Aberdeen.
Always remember joe Miller for three things , obviously winner in 89 cup final , secondly his miss against Partizan Belgrade to make it 6-3 they went up the park and scored 5-4 and we went out on goal difference . Lastly he came on as a sub at Hampden in a semi final and then got subbed himself .
Dziekanowski(sp), Aitkenoffski and Milleronanoffski. I thought you'd remember the St Mirren goal, Harry - Cup replay under the lights
Sir Purpleface Furiousson was livid Aberdeen sold him to Celtic. He thought he was getting him at Man Ure.
I remember McGinn looking as if he was really promising, actually getting a few starts in a row and looking as if he deserved them as well. Not sure what happened to him and how he did on loan but I wouldn't at all be surprised if we regret the decision to let him go at some point.
Good player with pace who can beat a man. Just what you want in a winger. However, as mentioned above, he still had developing to do, and i too think we could regret letting him go somewhere i nthe future.
He was back in Derry in his cup final suit last year a couple of hours after the game. Nice guy. Very humble.
You will probably sign him back like Chuck. I used to bang on about what a great signing he would be for Celtic on BBC 606.
He's at an age when he needs to play more often than we can offer him, has potential and is a very levelheaded guy. Best of luck to him at Aberdeen a decent signing.
Are there any decent players left at the club that was formerly known as Rangers? We could pinch a few for naff all and they would get paid as well.
There should be a few due off the Murray Park conveyer belt of talent anytime soon, they've been threatening to produce a genuine talent for the last 12 years or so. They tried to kid everyone that John Fleck was the new Messiah but everyone could see theat particular emperor was starkers.
Fleck, he had made too sub appearancies and the press where demanding his inclusion in the Scotland squad. 4 years later he's played about 20 games and move to league 1.
