I'm boycotting Swiss Roll for the day as a sign of respect for our neighbourly ex-terrorist bog-trotting, shillelagh-wielding pot-lickers.

I'm sure the ref was called Toby Le Rone.

"Dubious" is hardly the right word, Farve Larve - there's no doubt at all that it was a wrong call.

We've always had a proliferation of NI Tigers, Swiss Tigers though, is Jak on his Jack Jones?

Dubious, wrong call, it was a blooming joke, the ref must have been nobbled.

Isn't that all in the spirit of the game? you know the human factor and things like that balance themselfs out over time. All that would be lost if video technology was to be brought in. :bandit:

    Utterly ridiculous decision.

The fact that NI may be knocked out by that is ridiculous. We have the technology and the ability to change that decision why not use it? Instead we are going to be talking about the referee.

The worst bit is if North Ireland lose 2-0 in the next leg it will be forgotten about. Which is wrong, NI now have to go out there and try and attack, where as at 0-0 they can sit in and try and him them on the break. It changes the whole tie, yet the referee won't face any consequences whatsoever.

That is one of the worst penalty decisions I have ever witnessed.

Well I'm going get slaughtered here but....

It was obvious from the start that the ref was ****. Poor decisions from the start. As a team NI would have
discussed this at HT. Don't give the ref an opportunity to blow his whistle.

But Evans did (even though he turned his back and the ball hit his back/shoulder) he did raise his arms in the area. Naïve.

UK footballers are just not streetwise enough.

I really don't think you can criticise Evans for that incident. He was just doing his job trying to be around the box to defend. He didn't unduly raise or move his arms and didn't move any part of himself towards the ball.

We had a Swiss-morrocan player didn’t we? A youth player under Steve Bruce we got from Stoke.

Karim Rossi I think he was called.

So now that's both Irish teams who've been eliminated in the World Cup playoff by dodgy handball decisions against French speakers.

We did indeed, I still follow him on Twitter he was born in Switzerland. He is playing for SC Cambuur in Holland at the moment in the Dutch 2nd division.

Well you certainly can't say the luck of the Irish, what a horrible way to be eliminated.
